Ed and Sandy made it to Lowell safely on their way to Chicago Friday. We had dinner at the Storks Nest and spent four hours swapping stories. Sandy was gracious as usual and Ed was telling a bunch of new funny stories. Mary and I were glad to see them again. Neal------------------

Karen and I were also fortunate enough to receive a visit from Sandy and Ed on their visit to Chicago. We met for dinner Sunday evening in Kenosha WI, and afterwards went down to the shores of Lake Michigan and continued a very enjoyable conversation, while watching an impending thunderstorm gather strength. Thanks again to Ed and Sandy for buying dinner...we owe you one.

Thanks AC. That explains who took my caps in the parking lot. I noticed something else strange. Ed only talked to Mary and ignored me completely. Neal------------------

I'm getting worried. The old man hasn't been online refuting my above statements. Did they make it back home ok? Ed, where are you?

I loaned him gas money because he said it would take $1,000.00 in gas to get the PT Cruiser back to Cinci. Neal------------------

We got home about 6:30 this evening. We mooched a meal off my niece last evening. lol Sandy was commenting on how nice the long week-end turned out. Neal and Mary Ann took us down a back alley to a restaurant and I was worried at that point. Turned out to be an OUTSTANDING place. They knew Neal but still served us. Surprised me. lol. Thanks again Neal and Mary Ann. I told you, SHE is the nice and interesting half of that equation. Then we met Enduro Bob and Karen. One lane of the Interstate was closed due to high water. The Des Planes (or Plaines ?) river was about 5 feet over flood stage and then another storm was rolling in. We ate at a great German restaurant that provided WAY TOO MUCH food. Great place. We had a great time with Karen and whats his name. lol. Enduro is exploring the possibility of hosting the big event next year with Geno Tex and Real Rod Bob and others. He asked me for advice. (Which proves he is not up to speed). lol. Sandy had a 5 day seminar in Chicago and we stayed at the Hyatt right at Michigan Ave and the Chicago River on Wacker. Weather was a little iffy every evening. Neal gave us a back route to take to avoid Gary, IN and the hours-long back up on I-94/90. Great detour. We ate at Round the Clock restaurant on the way back today, Neal. Great place, lots of good food there also. My only bad meal was a Gyro on Michigan Ave or State St. Pretty bad compared to what we get here. Glad to see some Prowling friends again. We enjoyed the hospitality with both couples and had a few laughs.

Wayne - Jack and Maria are doing just fine. Jack reads the POA board often, but is hesitant to post. Seems to not have his cookies locked in and doesn't remember his screen name and password? They said they are tied up with family outings this year and will not be able to attend any big events,,,,but are looking forward to 2005 to do so.GREAT people!!!
