-----Subject: Squirrels

There were four country churches in a small Alabama town:
The Presbyterian church, the Methodist church, the Catholic church and the Baptist Church. Each church was overrun with pesky squirrels.

One day, the Presbyterian church called a meeting to decide what to do about the squirrels. After much prayer and consideration they determined that the squirrels were predestined to be there and they shouldn't interfere with God's divine will.

In the Methodist church the squirrels had taken up habitation in the baptistry. The deacons met and decided to put a large plywood cover on the baptistery and flood it. The squirrels escaped somehow and there were twice as many there the next week.

The Catholic group got together and decided that they were not in a position to harm any of God's creation. So, they humanely trapped the squirrels and set them free a few miles outside of town. Three days later, the squirrels were back.

But -- the Baptist church came up with the best and most effective solution. They baptized the squirrels and registered them as members of the church. Now they only see them on Christmas and Easter.

Good advice Norm--got to pass it on to my local squirrels.
They're constantly emptying my bird feeder or digging up my lawn making me constanty try new methods to get rid of them. I had a cousin that had them nest in his attic by crawling in through a roof vent. He was so pi$$ed that he started shooting them with a 22. Never got rid of them and had to re-roof his house. He was a distant cousin.

Jane and I bought a house a few years back that used to be a Baptist Church renovated into a spectacular home and you're right-we only see squirrels around Christmas and Easter!
