Well I attended my first Viper Club event yesterday in NY 135 Vipers at Chuck Tators Dodge's BBQ. They took a Aerial photo and it was the largest turnout ever! 87 last year! I saw every type and Color! A guy drove up in front of the place with a mulholland Blue Prowler to take a few pic's, and you would have thought it was a 1965 volkswagon beetle! No one seemed to notice. Very interesting range of people. I've never seem so many little guys driving Vipers. I guess they fit better!! Only 1 vender selling stuff and it was Zero Altitude Flight and i just bought stuff from them on tuesday! Chuck Tator was in His Wizard costume! (He's called the Viper wizard)(My first Prowler event was better ( Niagara Falls 2003)We got to cruise around together! ------------------ |

Chuck - all those 'small guys' there with their Vipers,,,,,,those were the horse jockeys that didn't make the field at the Kentucky Derby on saturday. Small man syndrome,,,very complex. They can control a 1000 lb speed animal but not a 500 hp beast. No wonder they didn't want to cruise the streets, lol. |

I didn't bring my digital camera. The wife needed it for Christopher's confirmation. (I'm not the dad.) I told Jack from Zero Altitude to email me some of his. I bought a aerial photo but it will take at least a month to get. Strange type of gathering. BBQ at noon, aerial photo around 1:00 and that was about it! You can only look at cars so long and especially if they all basicly the same. 1 day events are tough to really get to know anyone. It was a start. I know for legal reasons there was only soda, but a few drinks certainly livens things up a bit. It might have happened for the few dozen who were staying overnight at the Hilton! The band played country western Music, which isn't my favorite. I would have preferred a Rock and Roll band! Not complaining, i can only walk around and mingle for 3 or 4 hrs without getting bored. Great work by Tator Dodge to hold such an event yearly. ------------------ This message has been edited by CTProwler on 05-02-2004 at 09:07 AM |

I could be wrong,,,,but I wouldn't think country western music and Vipers go together. That would have been a real party if they would have invited RealRod Bob to be the car event refreshment director, lol. |

I was considering attending that event,Chuck but time did not permit it. You'll find that the Viper group is a lot different than the Prowler bunch. The events I attended so far with the P.O.A.beat anything else I've ever been to...let's keep them going! |

Hey Chuck, I was going to attend but couldn't swing it. I used Tator to push through my Ram SRT10 - he was great to deal with. Wish I was there. Some cool pics on the Viper site. http://vca2.viperclub.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Board=UBB14&Number=401062&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1 |

Wayne you need to have your Ram SRT truck brought in for recall! Some disgruntiled employee decided to leave the camshaft sprocket retaining bolts loose on some 2004 SRT/10 Vipers and Ram SRT/10 trucks! A loose camshaft sprocket bolt could fall out and really damage the engine! Of course it didn't say that in the letter i got! I heard it from a very good source! Its a 3/12 hr job on my Viper and a 5 1/2 hr job on your truck! ------------------ |

Thanks Chuck, not all engines were affected. My truck was not one of the recalled ones - I did a check |

Chuck... I'll bet the Viper club would like to hear about the event. |
