In the spirit of all the basic questions that recently were asked - how 'bout this one:

What music are you listening to when you're "on the prowl" ?

Are YOU the more relaxed prowler listening to classical such as Bach, Tschaikowsky or Beethoven

OR

are YOU the more agile driver listening to the 'Stones', CCR or Seeger ?

OR

are YOU the agressive driver jammin' to AC/DC, Van Halen or any other metal music ?

OR

are YOU the younger generation driver 'raving' with Techno, House or Electric Dance
(well, I don't think there are any kiddies on the POA, or are there ??)

OR

are YOU the driver that's just jammin' along with some sweet R&B / Soul and the occasional HipHop tune ??

Well, what is it ? Which one are you ??

Geez! You didn't hit any of my normal picks! For me, it's usually 50s, 60s, or Country. . . But it can be anything. One of the best toys I've ever bought is my iPod. I've got every song I own on that thing so that if I decide to take a break from my routine, I can listen to Phil Collins, Norah Jones, Scorpions, Green Day, or whomever.

never tire of Lou Reed...
The Be Good Tanyas - "Waiting Around To Die"...
Sheryl Crow - pretty much everything...
EELS - "Bus Stop Boxer", "Jennifer Eccles"...
Lucinda Williams - "Can't Let Go"...
still hooked on Echo and the Bunnymen, "Sugar Kisses"....

I listen mostly to the Beach Boys and the Beatles on CD. Hardly ever listen to the radio.... The Prowler CD has some good songs on it too.

new Prowlers had a CD that came with them....info about the Prowler and some music.....I have never listened to mine.....many dealers seemed to let these get away, their own employees or unwatched customers, but many Kats didn't have one.....of the 8 Kats I bought, 7 had the CD....

Should have been in the pouch behind the passenger seat, probably is in the possession of a dealer employee or sold on eBay.

If you didn't get the CD,,,,your not missing much in the way of music. The information part was ok, but applied to '97's. DC ran out of these CDs in either the 2000 or 2001 production runs, and no more were made.

I'm sure many were stolen at the dealerships.

Even though I don't care about mine,,,,it's not for sale.

I put my own CD's together in my studio:
1. Beatles (Abby Road/Sgt.Peppers/1's)
2. Heavy (Nazareth/Faith No More/38 Special/Aerosmith etc..)
3. R&B (Earth Wind & Fire/Al Green/Ohio Players/Rick James)
4. 70's/80's
5. Various (Lou Reed/Sinatra/Faith Hill/Elvis/Dwight Yokum)
6. Various (Stones/Marvin Gaye/Dream Theater/UFO/Hurricane
Smith etc..)
I have a 2000 and I tried using an MP3 CD, but it would not play. I rotate my various disc's regularly.

Latest great CD: Los Lonely Boys. An amazing mix between Stevie Ray Vaughn, and Ritchie Valens...3 brothers who harmonize like you wouldn't beleive. Check out the reviews at Amazon.com. Most people have to listen to it 5 times the first day. I'm seeing them open for Bruce Hornsby this summer!

Other than my mix CD's, I'm big on....

Cake: "Comforty Eagle" is all about cruising tunes...
Rolling Stones "40 Licks"...all the best tunes.
Disturbed
POD
Outkast
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Deep Purple
Garbage
ZZ Top etc etc

Also Soundtracks make great premixed CD's. Despite what you think of the movies, these soundtracks are my favorites...

"Little Nicky"
"Cable Guy"
"X-Files"
"fast & Furious"
"SSX 3" (videogame mix CD)

Greatest Cruising songs of all time...

War "Low Rider"
Stones "Jumpin Jack Flash"
Cake "Long Line of Cars"..."Short Skirt/ Long Jacket"... "Meanwhile"...Opera Singer...hell every song from "Comfort Eagle!"
Danny Gatton : "Sky King"
Allman Bros. ""Blue Sky"
Skyliners. "Since I don't have you"
Monster Magnet: "God Says No"
Deep Purple "Highway Star"
ZZ Top "Cheap Sunglasses" "La Grange"
ARS "Spooky"
Elvis Costello "Watching the Detectives" ..."Pump it up"
Joe Jackson "Look Sharp"
Skynyrd "Call me the Breeze"
Everlast "What it's like"

good stuff folks....

Most any rock from 70's and up. Have all Nickleback CD's but my all time favorite is FLOYD!. For those that like something different, try Kraftwerk's "Autobahn". Totally electronic music. CRANK IT UP!
