I caught most of "My Classic Car" on Speed Channel last night. They were featuring the Mopar in the Park car show.

At the first of the show they were panning the entries and the cameraman would stop briefly at a particular car.

I'm sure I saw Bob "Real Rod" Goetz in his Black Kat with the round mounted headlights cruising slowing into the entrance of the show. Could see Bob's flowing locks and his Kat had the black Weekender on it.

Congrats Bob!

Thanks AC, Yes that was me last year, myself Duane Hanson and John Baskerville attended with the local Viper Club. They had my car entered in the Mild Custom Class and I took 2nd place, the first place car was a Host club members ( a stock 73 Challenger with Chrome bolted on ). The other Prowlers were judged against the Vipers with no wins going to us( must have been 20 Vipers ). Also the camera guy had everything set up in front of us to to shoot the Prowlers and Vipers and MR. Mustache came over and stopped him by saying "These are not Classic Cars". So I do not watch the show anymore. Also if anyone remembers 2 years ago at Cruzin the Coast we made our entrance into that town and they were filming there also and we got ZIP.

I had heard that Dennis Gage has no use for Prowlers. His side kick Sam M is totally different, He has attended a few shows here in GA and had nice things to say about both Prowlers and PT Cruisers.

I can't stand to watch the show anymore. It's hard to take a guy serious who has an outrageous mustache and wears a goofy hat. He is no hot rodder or true muscle car guy. I keep expecting him to walk up to an MG, TR3, Austin Healy, etc.

I find the guy weak at best,,,,,,,he pulls his old, sled Lincoln around and it isn't even nice. If we cut off half of his mustache, do you think he would be able to keep his tv job? On the other hand,,,,I like his hat.

If I remember correctly, I think he said he had a PT and had done some performance and appearance mods to it.

D.G. is a TOTAL JERK.......how he has gotten where he has in the car world is UNBELIEVABLE, so self centered.

My two cents

Many years ago I had an encounter with "Mr Mustaschio" at the MOPAR Nationals.....he came up to the tent all GUNG HO about filming my HEMI Challenger and wanting to do a story about it being the first of its breed etc etc...I listened to his schtick for a couple of minutes and told him the car had already been in numerous books and magazines and even turned into a toy by Johnny Lightning..he didn't say sh!t, just turned and walked away.....kinda like "sorry I wasted my time on your car".....30 years earlier, I would have beat him into to the ground and cut off that stupid mustasche myself...

Al your part is already gone you should have it Friday, and I was worried about saying anything about Dennis Gage but I see I am not the only one who feels this way. Also I guess I will need to watch this show to see if my buddies 71 Yellow Hemi Cuda Convert Clone car got any coverage, he was not by the car and they filmed for a good 30 minutes at all the details and when he finally started talking to THE MAN and found out it was a fake they stopped. Some people may say a clone is not worth the time of day but this car runs and drives everywhere and he put detail to the max on it, if I had an extra $125,000 sitting around I know I would own it cause what's a real one worth? $750,000 to $1 MILLION. You cant drive those cars but this one you can.
