Before Jay was making shimmers (I think), Brenda painted the lettering in the rear bumper to match the car. Don't know if that counts, Ed. She did that in September of 1998.

Bill the Ghost - don't you have a 2001 cat?Ed - first seen a yellow '99 with painted bumpers,,,that was in Feb. of 2000. The car came from a LasVegas rental car agency before it came to Az. and arrived here with the bumpers painted yellow. Must have been done in 1999 sometime?

Laddie, you might be the winner. I didn't copy off of you since I had not met you and POA was not in existence. I don't know when I had mine done but I don't think it was until late summer of 2000. I met Andy right after that. The guys at the body shop told me to go see him, right up the street. What year was that Andy? I remember seeing someone's black or purple in a picture. I did not have spots on my grey bumpers yet, and then they showed up suddenly and I decided to get them painted red. I knew I was not the first but we were talking about it and I wondered whose I had seen in the pic. That was before shimmers, for sure.

Laddie:Whether your bumpers & bra were first or last they still look great! When it first saw your bra on POA, I knew I had to have one. I think painted bumpers on Reds and Candys look great. As I've said many times, thanks for your assistance with the bra project, which resulted in my best mod yet. ------------------
