From back in the day: "Heart, Elton John, Jethro Tull, Marshall Tucker, 38' Special, Eagles, Boston, Genisis, Fleetwood Mac, were my favorite shows. BUT, within the last year or so: "The Hub Caps" a 7 member, talented group that does "OLDIES". What a performance! If you like oldies, you gotta see this group if they are ever in your area. They are out of Maryland. The other was "John Mueller" in the "WINTER DANCE PARTY". John looks the part and sounds exactly like Buddy Holly, and has "The Big Bopper's" son who does his dad's hits, and a guy who sounds like "Richey Valance". These guys do a tribute to the original "Winter Dance Party", when these artists were tragicly killed in a plane crash. Both of these shows were great.

Let there be no doubt:

KISS

The best live band ever. It's like the 4th of July and Halloween rolled into one.

We saw STOMP and while that is not a band, it was one heck of a show. If you ever get the chance to see it, do so. I highly recommend it.

What really sticks out in my mind with this is two guys that were recluses that lived 4 doors down from us. I got to be good friends with them both cause they would come down to my dad's restaurant and I'd wait on them. They weren't a huge deal back then but, they played pretty much every weekend at a dive in Vinton Louisiana. There names were Edgar and Johnny Winters and they would also include Jery LaCrouex. To be underage, getting into a bar, knowing the band, getting to talk with them during breaks was something to remember.

Before all the huge stadium seating concerts, I was fortunate enough to get to see some bands up close. We had Chicago play in the gymnasium of the local college. They had just released their 2nd album (the double LP silver one). 25 or 6 to 4 was the hit song off that album that propelled them into the history books and abruptly ended their stint of ever playing in gyms again.

Hey Mozart, did you ever know a Sound Man by the name of Dale Trout? Worked for Charlie Pride, George Strait and many others I just can't think of whom he worked for at the moment. Mostly country bands though.

Forgot to mention: Prowler story #8 Nazereth

Nazereth was doing a concert in the area, and my production company wanted to cover the event. I drove my Prowler up next to the bus and parked it. The tour manager walked up and in about 20 minutes some of the band members came out and began looking the car over, I ended up shooting half the concert and got to interview the band inside the tour bus, really cool. the crew ended up hanging with the band
and we talked for hours about cars, music world afairs and so on. I have opened many doors and went places I could not
have unless I had a Prowler. One of many stories from my Prowler adventures.

I think the place was called the "Texas Pelican" or something like that. And yes, alot of us got very familiar with the gravel in the parking lot. LOL!

Sitting in that dark seedy place with a couple of albinos could sure attract the women!!!

Yes, Bob Miller, I was at the Milwaukee concert Jimi Hendrix put on about 3-6 months before he died.
How about some of these.....
Jack Bruce with Ringo (still a fabulous player and singer)
Linda Ronstadt ( 3 times!)
Alan Parsons Project ( 4 times; incredible tunes)
3 Dog Night ( 8 times)
Joe Walsh
Tull (3 times)
Santana (twice in the good 'ole days)
Rascals (during their intial days of fame)

Oh, yea, how about the concert I intentionally skipped because my girlfriend teed me off.....Rolling Stones and the Eagles in '75 on the same stage, same day. Was I really THAT upset to miss that show???
