Sure hoping for a Dodge but my guess is a DEI car. Mrs SuperKat is rooting for Jeff Gordon if it's not a Dodge driver and I'll always be a 43 fan. Really we just like the races; I'll never understand why so many fans in this sport root so hard against a driver than for their favorite. JMHO Have a great race!

I like Tony Stewart because i grew up watching the Indy 500 with my uncle. Tony started in Indy cars before he switched over to Nascar. I Liked to see Jerry Nadeau do well because he grew up 10 miles away in Danbury CT. One of my friends is best friends with his dad. I got to meet him about 5 years ago at Daytona 500 & had dinner with him and his family. I'm not into the family thing, Sons of famous fathers or uncles. Driving should be based on skills. I really think there are thousands of guys out there who could be just as good as the 50 or so who drive now. You just can't grow up wanting to be a nascar driver, you have to be connected. I don't hate anyone but my first choice to loose a race would be Dale Jr!------------------

That's one great thing about Nascar. There are a lot of teams that I would like to see win. So many different stories unfolding every week. Yeah Jr's story is getting too much media play, but it's interesting none the less. Old timers that have never won. Hot young guns looking to make a name for themselves. Teams changing personnel looking for the right chemistry. I think there are about 20 teams that have a legitimate shot at winning today. Strategy, adaptability and of course luck will all play a roll. I really don't have a favorite team, and I'll be happy with the outcome no matter who comes in first. To me, it's still about the journey, not the destination. When the money's on the line, you don't bet against #24. I have a feeling 88 may just surprise a few folks. Sure would be cool if Jimmy Spencer would show these guys a thing or two. Will it happen - no. But it sure would be cool.

DEI or 88, the drivers I don't wanted to win is Tony Stewart(I don't use Homedepot anymore) and Rusty. As some of you know I sponsored Harvick in his GoKart days, I don't think he is going to win but will be in the top five.

My guess is the first one to cross the finish line after 500 miles. Usually the winner.

Rusty Wallace has been hanging around forever!!Whens the last time he won! I'm surprised Miller lite doesn't can him. In just about any other sport if you get too old and don't produce your gone. I would like to see Ricky Rudd finish high up today. He doesn't have many morer Daytona starts left.------------------

After attending races for over 20 years and watching as many as I could on TV, I have totally abandoned NASCAR. When they announced that they would allow toyota to participate, I cancelled my tickets to five races and stopped watching. I did stop short of throwing out all my #43 memorabilia and autographs though.

No more post since the race has been over? I personally am glad #8 won. I'm sure there is going to be some controversy on the outcome, with 97 (I think). Dale Jr. seems to be the new Jeff Gordon. The one everyone loves to hate for some reason. Fact is, he was the best driver with the best car, at that moment when it counted. This season ought to be different at the end of it for sure, the way the scoring is laid out.

Can't say I'm happy with Jr winning, but he clearly had the best car and gave nice drive. Jeff G seems to have lost some of his talent with his hair... hope he gets back on track soon. I'm glad Stewart didn't win...got tired of hearing him whine about Andretti.
