I wonder how much your insurance rates would go up with a claim of that size?

I'm not sure it would at all. Reason being, this was a $650K car. Doubt many insurance companies would insure something like this for everyday driving. Owner probaby paid cash for the car.

Granted the owner probably has quite a few cars, boats, jets, even homes with the same company so either they had a specialty policy on this vehicle or are just passing through.

Also, only a very limited amount of these were made and only sold to previous Ferrari owners (I beieve you had to have an F50).

Anyway, used ones are selling for $1.4-$2 million. Weird as it sounds, they will probably get real close to sticker price for a wrecked one.

Vehicle price now approaching $400K.

Honestly, I still think this is a steal. Vehicle probably has about $50K-$75K worth of work that needs be done to it.

Yes, it will have a salvage title but, you will be driving a car that folks are willing to spend upwards of $2M for only $400K.

Even with the salvage title, once returned to former glory, can probably get $700-800K for it easy(if they wanted to sell it).

I just saw a post on the Viper site saying that the owner of this car went home and jumped into his other Enzo.
Go figure.
