This is an E-mail that has been going around for awhile. The link takes you to a mirror site where you unkowingly give someone else all your credit info. Ebay will never ask for a PIN #.
Ebay has sent out emails warning of this.

That's pretty wild how some people will go to amazing lengths to do a scam.
It is my understanding that a credit card transaction without the owner's signature isn't worth the paper it's printed on and the credit card company must take full responsibility.I've been in a situation once where a gas station was putting on additional charges(subsequently closed down and prosecuted)on my card, without question everything was reversed.
My Platinum Master Card goes as far as contacting me personally everytime a purchase is made outside my normal trading area to verify it is legit-I like that idea...

I have gotten that one over 100 times, literally. I had one today, also.
Don't just delete it. Forward it FIRST to spam@eBay.com and then delete it. eBay will send you two messages immediately saying they received it and will investigate it. It is getting pretty rampant and they need all the evidence they can get to track these guys down.
I know two people who fell for it about a year ago. That is how the fake Prowler sales are pulled off. After they steal your identity they are home free for awhile.
They attempt the same thing with PAYPAL. They will never ask for your password.

Al - if fixumm was involved all BUT 10 - 12 words would be mispelled.

BTW - Geno, your mispelled was misspelled.

How to misspell IQ without really trying

A herd of puppies doesn’t go through as much newsprint as I do on the average morning. After 8.5 minutes (on average) with the Valdosta Daily Times, I set off for greener pastures, in search of that daily definition of the human condition. And I’m never disappointed--it’s always there. With the same glee I used to reserve for David Letterman’s Stupid Pet Tricks, I marvel at the strange things I find under the masts of America. Who are these people? And what could they have been thinking?

To substitute for a broken fire alarm system at the Phoenix, Ariz., courthouse, the local government hired 20 people to roam the building daily from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. at $8.90 an hour, to do nothing except look for fires. (Arizona Republic, 11/25/00)

Didn’t anyone consider a box of $10 First Alert alarms and a couple of packs of batteries?

A 29-year-old man was killed while driving his off-road vehicle in a Ventura County, Calif., recreation area: he was using a flashlight to substitute for his failed headlights when he accidentally drove over a cliff. (Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, 10/31/00)

I’ve seen this guy too many times not to heave a sigh of relief. He was doing the same thing on HWY 41 last year, and before that I saw him on I-75, towing an old pickup truck with a six-foot length of tree-swing rope at about 60 mph. Do you think the family would mind if I slipped a little thank-you note in with the condolence card?

The director of a day care center duct-taped an 8-month-old girl to a wall. She told state officials that she thought the sight of the struggling baby was funny and didn’t consider her actions harmful or inappropriate. The A Place to Grow Day Care Center’s license was suspended for 30 days by a judge who felt the director and her staff needed a “time-out.” (Hudson, Mass. AP, 3/25/00)

O.K. Let’s see if we can pinpoint who is the real problem here. Is it the director (who was just trying to lighten the tension with a quick giggle)? The judge (who understands the pressures of modern life and the shortage of affordable child care)? The community that welcomed the center and its staff back and re-elected the judge to another term? No, we know who the real culprit is, don’t we? It’s that noisy, hungry, wet, tired, scared brat who just had to keep on crying, getting on everybody’s last nerve.

An off-duty Chicago police officer (240 pounds, with a master’s degree in social work, which helps him on his job counseling elderly abuse victims) was suspended for punching a 115-pound 72-year-old man in the face following a minor traffic accident. (Chicago Sun-Times, 11/25/00)

Gotta get the drop on those old people--they’re a wily and dangerous lot.

Veni, vidi, [what’s Latin for I cried?]

I got some with a new twist today. You cannot forward them for some reason. I finally cut and pasted them to a new message. I tried about 10 times to forward them. Every other email went right out. This one just sat there unlit I hit escape.
They are getting trickier.
