I know a lot of the pundits and odds-makers aren't giving the Panthers much of a chance Sunday, but it sure has been a pleasure following them this year! The past 5 years have been tough with the "off the field' problems and going 1-15 two years ago, but this bunch has been gritty and deserving of all they have accomplished. ------------------

I'm pulling for the Panthers. They have a big, physical receiver in Mohammed that not many people can consistently cover and an unglamorous QB that only gets the job done every Sunday... At RB, Davis can pound the ball with the best. I also think Carolina has a better defense. Should be a great, but low scoring game.

This could be one of the better Super Bowls. Most are blow outs. I don't think this one will be, but what do I know. I am rooting for the underdog, too.

I think the Panthers have a very good chance. If their defense can make a few big plays, who knows. You have to be lucky to get to a Super Bowl. Then its anyones game. In any sport any team can beat another 1 time. Just think if the world series was 1 Game?------------------

It's a big deal if you like football AND you have a connection.Connections are important to the game. Remember last year all the fun we all had reading the posts of the Bucs and Raider fans jabbing each other? I have always watched the Superbowl, but when one of the teams is your local franchise, you personally know some of the players, two of them went to your college, one of them lives in your neighborhood, you have held season tickets since their inception, you traveled 1 hr. & 45 minutes to see them each game during a 1/15 season, it is a fairly big deal. I can understand where all the hype turns non-fans off, but the Carolinas haven't had much to be proud of lately (other than college basketball) with textile/furniture plant closings and the Panthers success is something Carolinians can be proud of. ------------------

For what it's worth, the Panthers were the better team, in person.Had they not kept trying for those 2-point conversions, I am totally convinced, the outcome would have been completely different. The are young and WILL be a force to be dealt with in the near future.....
