Best wishes to your Mom! No need to apologize for "rambling" when it is regarding continued health for a parent! My Dad died 2.5 years ago from heart failure and I wish they could have done something for him..I miss my best friend terribly...Thank God (and modern medicine) that your Mom is coming home with a new lease on life!

Larry, if both of them have pacemakers, you had better remove the microwave and buy a set of those tiny jumper cables. lol. Hope all goes well. I guess that is really common place now. Thirty years ago it was probably unheard of.

Father, 280 lb old timer, passed out while driving because of insufficient oxygen to the brain because of a slow heart beat. Totalled his car into a tree and put his face thru the windshield. He never felt a thing. Missed hitting grammar school kids by 20 feet on their way home from school according to the children. Pacemaker now installed but they only last for a certain number of years. Not sure what scares the hell out of me more-father hitting the tree because he didn't get his heart checked out or that he almost killed innocent kids. Get the heart checked out.

Great news!! Yesterday was the 20th anniversary that I had lost my mom. Can't believe the time has gone so quickly. Cherish each and every day. I'm sure you do.
