After going 1 & 15 two years ago, the Carolina Panthers are going to the Super Bowl!It was tough making the 2 hour drive to Charlotte in '01, but sure worth it this year. I know they are a 7 point dog to the Pats, but they were favorites in only 7 of 16 regular season games and in only 1 of 4 post-season games. Gotta believe! ------------------

Congrats. This is the Panthers first trip to the big game so I know you're thrilled. Being a die-hard Chiefs fan, I'm still waiting for a return trip. It's good to see teams in the Superbowl that have never played in it before.

Hey Randy.Panthers all the way... We're pulling for Bobby Booshea (Jake Delhomme pride of Breaux Bridge) to guide them to Super Bowl victory along with some of the other Panthers from the Saints farm club ... ------------------

Fred - I don't know if I'm going or not. Last week I was definitely going, but my wife saw on the news the high alert for a terrorist attack at the Super Bowl and now she is firmly asking me not to take our son and I don't know if I want to go without him.I'm trying to convince her everthing is going to be alright and that we all have to go on with our lives as normal, but she doesn't want my 11 year old to go and now he is even begging me not to go. 90% of the time she goes along with whatever I want to do, but not on this issue. Bottom line - I don't know, but thanks for the invite and I've been thinking that it would be a great time to see the famous Krehel Museum. ------------------

You better have Deep Pockets$$$$$$$ A lousey upper level end zone seat will start at around $2000. Unless your Company has seats!!!My sisters company is owned by Krafts, who owns the Patriots!!I could have had tickets to the 2 games in Foxboro!!!But Being a JETS fan,I hate the Pats! I'm rooting and betting on the Panthers!!!They are a type of Kat!! It should be low scoring, place kicking game, well worth the price of admission!!It will be hard to match the Panther-Ram game thats for sure. I hope the Pats loose 41-0 ------------------

Chuck -You're right. Deep pockets are needed. I heard the cheapest tickets have sold for is $1,275 each. A travel agency in Charlotte is offering a package of a ticket, airfare, one night hotel and local travel for $3,500. I do have season tickets to the Panthers. They do have an allottment of tixs. The deal is for every season tix you have and for every year you have had them you get your name placed in the drawing. (Ex. I've had 4 tixs since their inception in 1995. That's 4 tixs for 9 years = 36 times my name will be in the drawing.) I'm sure luxury box owners as well as sponsors will get preferential treatment, so my chances of getting decent tixs at face value are pretty slim. I know it's a once in a lifetime opportunity to see your team play in the Super Bowl, but the price of this opportunity is rather steep. ------------------

Question for Pats and Panthers fans who've attended their home games. Are the home games family oriented or are you better off going with buddies? Bears games at home are great with buddies but aren't for the family.

Randy---If you can get seats go!!!!Its a blast!!Night Prowler.NFL games are the same all over, really. Its really a Guy thing. But there are many knowledgable women football fans also who love it. I have season tickets for the jets. You can bring your kids as long as they can hear *#@@@&% once in a while. Super Bowl is another animal. 50% of the people there don't know squat about football. Its just that their company got them seats and i'm going to the Super Bowl!!!I know if i had to pay BIG $$$$$ for Super Bowl seats my kids won't be there until maybe they are over 16. Old enough to really enjoy it. Realize what it costs etc.------------------

I think EVERY NFL team gets an allotment of tickets also. For the Final Four in College Basketball EVERY college in the country gets something like 16 tickets. That doesn't leave a whole lot left for the general public.
