Wednesday is the first match. How many points are you giving me since it is in Loooeyville? Bearcats are 13-0 and I presume U of L won tonight making them 13-1, with 13 straight wins. Could be a great game. They are up here one month later, exactly.

Ed - the game should be a toss-up on paper. Cincy is undefeated and playing great ball right now and ranked a couple of spots higher. Louisville lost their first game of the season by 1 point in OT and haven't lost since, plus playing at home this time.I believe defense will be Louisville's strength and Cincy has the edge with inside play. If Louisville finds it's offense again (we have only shot 37% over the last two games but won both by double digits) I like our chances. Either way, we have a rematch in one month!

How did you get tickets? They are probably as scarce as XU-UC in the Crosstown Shootout!

Ed - our company's home office in in Cincy. I have a bet with a guy in our home office, if Louisville wins this Wed. (and if he gets the office tickets) we get to go the game there. That'sa lot of ifs!

Ed -I think I told you this last season, but Eric Hicks (#14, power forward) of the Bearcats is from Greensboro. I saw him in AAU and High School. Good talent and potential, but a malcontent. Minor problems in High School. Then he and his family were very vocal that he didn't get state player of the year over consensus All-American Duke starter Shavlik Randolph. Gibbons had Randolph as the fifth best in the country. He reported to UC a week late because he got shot in the lower leg at a playground in East Greensboro. He "no commented" on the incident for 2 days. He showed up at a holiday high school tournament here in Dec. '02 with some real shady characters. I saw in the paper that UC had a game that night. Come to find out he had left school in protest because he was only getting 6 to 8 minutes of playing time as a Freshman! Rumors abound about this guy. Huggins has his handful with him! ------------------

Randy, controversy is not a foreign subject with UC basketball players. Remember Dontonio Winfield (?). He was a mental case. Declared for the NBA after one season and no one has heard of him since. He punched his mom or grandmother when she wouldn't give him the car keys. We have had some real winners here. Huggins has them playing his way or not playing. They are beating up on the oponents pretty well but still have a few minutes when they are terrible. They have beat a few patsies but beat Marquette handily, also. A few real big games coming up.Marty, it should be a heck of a game. It will be close, all the way unless there is a foul problem. I hope you don't win the tickets, obviously. lol. If U of L prevails, then I hope you get lucky with the tickets, though. Do you have tickets for the game down there?

Ed - our company provides all the carpet, drapes and skirting for the staging along with all logos and graphics for U of L sports athletic functions (Kick Off and Tip Off luncheons, and awards banquets for other sports) Our compnay gets 6 tickets each for football and basketball. Guess which staff person in our office is the Account Executive for U of L business? YEP - me, so I get two tix to each home game both sports. It one of the nice perks I get for working 70 hours a week!Reba & I will be there in the 13th row, lower level of the South endzone. Well that is a very nice perk especially when they are playing great ball, like now. One one-point loss in overtime in the first game and then 13 straight wins.

It was a great game for about the first 4 minutes. What a major disappointment. U of L kicked their butts. U of L should move up and Cincy should drop like a rock. Congrats, Marty
