Here in the DC area, people are delirious with this news.... It was so funny to see George Michael and Sonny Jurgenson on last night's news. They were so giddy, I don't think they were even wearing pants! I will bet money there are die-hard Redskin fans who were so excited, they couldn't get to sleep last night...

Not sure if this is a good move for Joe Gibbs,,,,,but for 5 million for five years, guess it's worth a try.

I work in Washington, DC and my co-workers were talking about renewing their season tickets and grinning from ear to ear and talking about the return of the glory days. One thing is certain, Joe Gibbs will bring back a no nonsense approach to this team and some sorely needed discipline, particularly on defense. Being a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, my thoughts are focused on this weekend.

Before the Panthers, this area was exclusively Redskin country. Also NASCAR country. With these two in mind the Gibbs hire was bigger news than the Panthers playoff run, college basketball or Daytona testing.

Lots of people pine for the glory days of the Redskins and currently welcome the class act of Gibbs.
