Great news! DaimlerChrysler announced today that the Family and Friends Program will continue for 2004. The program runs from now through December 31, 2004.

All DaimlerChrysler employees are issued 4 certificates to be shared with family or friends, but we are able to obtain any amount that we need. These certificates offer the opportunity to purchase or lease a new Chrysler Group vehicle at 1% below dealer invoice plus a $25.00 processing fee. Any applicable consumer incentives offered on the vehicle selected for purchase or lease also apply. There are a few vehicles (such as Viper, SRT-4 and SRT-10) that do not qualify for this program. Chrysler Prowlers do qualify for this program; however, Plymouth Prowlers do not. Dealers are not obligated to honor this program, but we have found only a few who wouldn't!

We have given out 100+ certificates to our fellow Prowler owners in the last three years of this program (over 50 this year alone) and look forward to be able to help more of you this year. This program does not benefit us in any way other than that we appreciate your support of Chrysler Group vehicles.

If anyone is interested in one of these certificates, please contact us at Only1CJ@comcast.net or call us at 248.650.3321. We have four certificates available NOW!! We are in Michigan on Eastern Standard Time!

Neal,

Yes, this program applies to the diesel trucks!!

We have four certificate numbers available right now. We have been fortunate that Bob has been able to work directly with the program people and they give us as many certificate numbers as we need.

As an FYI, we gave out 54 certificates last year and I am happy to say that all of these were used by Prowler owners. Thank you again to all of you who have purchased other Chrysler vehicles using this program for supporting Chrysler products!

CJ Thanks for the information. We are going to be in the market for the 2005 model year. Does the vehicle need to be in stock or can the dealer order for delivery in January or so? Our situation is that in Missouri we pay property taxes on cars owned as of December 31st. So if i buy a car at the end of the calendar year i will be liable for taxes on it for all of that year. That's why we always by in January or February. Thoughts? Jim

CJ - this is fantastic news!!! Thank you for all your help in saving us money.

We will be looking at replacing our Durango at the end of the year (need to pay off the Dakota first).

We don't necessarily want another SUV, we will probably be looking for a sedan... but the Pacifica is looking pretty good

Lone Ranger....the vehicle you chose can be off a dealer lot or it can be ordered. If you choose to order a specific vehicle, you won't need the cert number until you take delivery. Just let us know. The program is good until Dec. 31, 2004.

Thanks to CJ for access to a "Friends and Family" certificate!

As of yesterday, we are the proud owners of a new 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited Edition (loaded with pretty much everything but the off-road package.) With the "F and F" certificate AND the rebate AND the 0% financing, we came away with what we felt was a killer deal.

The dealer even gave us what we felt was a fair price in trade for our 2002 Jeep Liberty Sport Edition. This was proably the easiest new car purchase I've ever made and I've bought somewhere near 50 new cars in my lifetime. (What can I say, I'm a new car addict!)

Well, let the games begin! My Administrative Assistant and my Vice President's Assistant think that they sold a lot of vehicles under the Friends and Family program last year. Actually, my Admin. did an excellent job last year with 16.

Thanks to our friends at POA, we finished last year with 54 sales. But they've chosen to throw down the gauntlet for this year and are tracking sales on the wall in our suite for everyone to see. I have one sale, my VP's Admin. has one and my Admin has two so they're feeling bullish.

Just a reminder to all POA members, if you or a close relative or even a close friend that you'd like to help need a new vehicle, please feel free to contact CJ. We're more than happy to help by providing a certificate.

Great job Bob. Lots of exciting new cars this year so you should have little difficulty surpassing last years totals (assuming people still have cash - or available debt ).

You could get a handfull more if program was available in the Great White North.

PS - love your Rumble Bee truck, Bob.

Wayne,

Your wish is my command. Friends and Family is good for all of our Canadian friends! The exclusions are the same: M-B, Viper, SRT-4 and SRT-10 Ram.

Good news Bob, I may need one if I don't pick up one of the 50 VCA Rams. Another owner just asked me about this on the weekend - I'll make sure he knows.

Just to confirm:

Answer: No Question: Will it be eligible for Crossfire or PT convertibles? How about 300C and Magnum
