Got it for X-Mas. It's a nice book with lots of pictures of beautiful garages. I was disapointed, however, that Mike Krehel's garage was not included.

Wow....It didn't occur to me that Mike should have had HIS garage in the book!

I am starting to think about B&W checkered floor tile and finished walls in my garage...with collectibles on the wall, etc. With a Prowler and Tbird in there, we need some storage style....

I have a problem in summer with Spider webs, dead flies, insects on my garage walls! Windows! I have a separate garage from the house also which i put in a loft, carpeted, sheetrocked, painted. I can't keep it clean. Windows are always filthy with the bugs! How do all my prowler friends deal with this problem. I'm not about to clean my garage every few days.

I have/had the same problem. My garage has 6 large windows and as a result is very well lit. Bugs like to hang around the windows for the light, just as they like to buzz around the lights in your bathroom.

I've since put up vertical blinds in the garage on all the windows. I keep them closed at all times, except when I have friends over and we hang around in the garage. I've found that the bug population has been significantly reduced. I now only have to run the shop vac around the windows every 2-3 months.

Of course this means that you have to have excellent lighting in the garage to compensate for the darkened windows. The garage should also be well sealed, insulated, and dry.

Here's a tip for me to remember next time...if a book is announced in a publication, I better buy it fast! Maybe I should have bought it before posting about it!! LOL.

Now the book is out of stock....I guess it's time to check other sites...

Wayne--Todd---Does barb look like the type of women that would clean a garage????She has only been in my lower garage a few timesIts at least a few hundred feet from the house! I'll have to put it on my maids list of things to do. She doesn't do a very good job now. Cleaning isn't her strong point. Baby sitting the kids is, i think?

I bought two Pest Offense plug-in bug ridders from some outfit in Texas two years ago. Info-mercial. Couldn't sleep. Think cost was $50 in total???? Plug's into the electrical outlet.

I tried other similar products that were garbage but this Pest Offense works pretty good. Not perfect, but the lady bugs must hate it because my neighbor's have lady bug problems and I don't anymore. The units don't make any sound that I can hear.

It's cool!

If Amazon.com is sold out still, go to Barnes and Noble (www.bn.com) They have the book at 30% off. Got that and another garage book to qualify for free shipping.
