The tyrant is finally caught!!! I hope he enjoyed his time hiding in that cellar and got use to it,,,,something tells me that he will spending many more days in a cage. We can now only hope that this capture will reduce or end the number of American lives being lost. Congrats to our troops for their outstanding job! Next,,,,,the testicles of Osama please!

This site is incredible. I found out about Saddam being captured here, not on TV or in the paper. Sandy's mom called about 9 AM to ask if we knew it and I had just seen it here. Unreal. No wonder I come here instead of watching TV. |

The best news in a long time. Our U.S. troops are to be honored and commended for the job they are doing. I am proud to be the mother of a U.S.A.F. son. I am proud of all of our troops.......may they all be able to come home soon. Let us not forget those who have given their lives during this effort and their families who will be enduring the holiday season without their loved ones. |

You have to remember Ed gets out of bed around 1 PM so he does not see the AM News, makes himself something to eat then checks the POA site and finally makes it to the shower around the 6 O'clock news and then for the 10 O'clock news he is out having lunch/dinner and then its back home by midnight to look at the POA site and then it's off to bed at 2AM. ------------------ |

CJ I could not have said it better. I met 4 Marines at the Toys for Tots show yesterday. I made a special point to shake each ones hand and thank them for serving thier country. They indicated they soon would be going to IRAQ. This message has been edited by BeWare on 12-14-2003 at 11:05 AM |

I woke up this morning, and when I turned on the TV, the very first sound that came out was a reporter saying, "I have some great news out of Iraq this morning. Saddam Hussein has been captured alive." What a way to start a beautiful day!! They went on to say he was actually captured yesterday. I have mixed emotions on this. Capturing him alive has presented all sorts of scenarios for the future. A long drawn out trial, several countries and their various factions wanting to try him themselves, and punish him themselves, and the possibilities of even Americans being taken hostage for the release of Saddam, if not terror threats for his release. I almost think it would have been best we killed him on site. I am none the less happy, however, that our brave men and women over there have done such a fantastic job in taking him into custody. This is certainly a wonderful thing for the world as a whole that he is no longer a threat to anyone. It doesn't make a bad early Christmas gift either. ------------------ |

What a wonderful Christmas present for the world to enjoy!!! God Bless all of the men and women in uniform and I Salute you all! This happened not only by the 4th Infantry, but by all of the men and women wearing uniforms world wide. Think of all of them who are away from home and their loved ones this Christmas, helping to make our world a safer place. Last week, here in Richmond, a Uniformed Soldier walked off a Plane into the Richmond International Airport. Everyone in the airport began to applaud as he walked down the isle. The Soldier began to weep. Just wanted to share this with you. As a Vet, I love to see these type of responses to our young men and women in uniform. They deserve to know we are grateful for their service and sacrifice. God bless all of you who have family who are serving now. Jim |

What great news, I hope they use the money he was found with to pay the Irac troops and help those who have been working with us but have not been given any pay. The police and others who have been trying so hard to get their country back together. What better way to help this war torn country than to take his money and give back to who it belongs to. I have to give 3 cheers for our men over there for a job well done. |

idive, it's better that we captured him alive just as it payed out with him armed but not giving any resistance. It takes the wind out of the sails of all those he asked to fight to the death. Even Hamas is criticizing him for giving up so easily. If we killed him he would have become a Martyr. Now he is just the coward we always suspected he was.
