“The Patriot” are home safely…. Wooooow – what a machine. Had a few opportunities to “feel” the car during it’s ~400 mile ride home yesterday. AMAZING…!!! I had never imagined an automobile “being-there” on demand. I am awestruck and frightened to think what it will be like when I THINK, “I’ve got this thing harnessed and feel I NEEEED mo!” The bug bit me (was KatNip’d), the SNAKE’s now struck (SnakeBit), GOD help me safely-survive this sickness!!!

My current sentiments…. The Prowler EXUDES beauty and the Viper HAMMERS a seat-a-pants thrill. Both of which are difficult to explain to those that just don’t-get-it (as I was). But sooooo much thanks to you POA-People because --- If I hadn’t lingered within this site, I wouldn’t have gotten my Kat; if I never had been Katnip’d I’d never have been SnakeBit; and ….well… Dpena says it best…
“GOD IS GOOD BABY.”

I had to wait for the 2003 Model (More Room)(Big Man) I don't want to buy a new Viper and pay full price. (or any car for that matter). I have had good luck buying cars a year or 2 old with real low mileage. 2002-2001 Prowlers-2001 Jag XKR Conv. A Red Viper is out there somewhere waiting for me to own it. It might be in 04 or even 05 but its a given!Have fun drive safe! I've heard many stories about guys buying one and totaling it on the way home!

The thrill of Viper ownership is hard to explain, something you just have to experience for yourself.....my past experiences with them have all been positive....massive power anytime you want it....great looks....very little maintenance and over 20mpg....hard combination to beat.....all Vipers are fun regardless of the year or style....next you will want a second Viper...many Viper owners have multiple Vipers, it is a serious addiction...
...above all, be respectful of these cars...they can be lethal if not handled properly....biggest problems being wet pavement, or even cold pavement....very slippery.....get used to the car before you try to be a hero....many of these cars end up being spun into things......the VCA board is the best info and help available....ask questions and the answers appear instantly it seems....very good group of people....in short, have a blast and be safe .......picture of my addiction(did sell the black one a few weeks ago)

I was talking to a local dealer on a 2003 yellow GTS when a elderly lady whose only driving experience was a used Toyota Camry bought it at sticker.

There was a slight rain that day, still drizzling, and they suggested she come back another day. She refused, drove it off the lot (having never driven a stick before) and proceeded to run it into a ditch and wrap it around a tree about 1/2 mile from the dealer. Total damage was about $37K. She had the car for a total of 2 minutes.

Don't know if she kept it or sold it. What a shame.

Having owned many cars in the past, the Viper is the hardest vehicle to drive, worse than an older Porsche, it will bite ya. I was in the parking lot the other day at about 2 MPH, it was cold and almost lost it, very embarrassing.

Enjoy your new toy. And make sure you are pointing straight before getting after the throttle.

Just remember, Hockey pucks on ice.

The cool factor of my Mulholland is undeniable, however, if I want to go fast I drive my '96 RT/10.

Enjoy, they're both great cars.

I'll try to get the some pix posted tomorrow.

I've put ~800 miles on in 1 week. What a MONSTER. The most responsive auto I've ever driven - in ALL ranges. First few times I passed (at hwy cruise ~65-70) were bright awakenings....Cruis’n, clearing, committing (downshift-n-GO4it) - clear around again, CROSSCHECK again --- SH** 100!! Happened IN NO TIME a few times, before I believed it. I LIKE THAT FEEL'N.

It's very tight with the road, in quality feel, and in the cockpit. You really FEEL the car. The cockpit cuddles ya just so; not very different than strapping on the VIPERS of my past. The F-16 cradles your torso while supporting your stick-n-throttle arms; it invites ya to fly it and push it. This snake same (visabiility nearly a good also). It has an MGB knob and the armrest seems just right regardless of gear. Although I could never comprehend the difference in HP and torque before – I DO NOW. The car has enlightened me.

Now for THE sound – It really is a high. The other day someone asked me how the stereo is. I truthfully replied, “don’t know – who cares.” BTW it does work, sound OK and I still don’t care cause that burblen spitt’n rumble is heard and felt. Previous owner mod’d her entire trachea, from box/filters, smooth, manifold, headers, hi-flo cats and back (opened to 3”). It’s a nice feel!
The Kat is one of the most beautiful production cars ever – it seized me upon first sight. The Snake caught me just as effectively, but upon strapping her on. I’m thrilled to have both! But must save-up for some driving schools!!!
Happy Thanxsgiv'n to ALL.

Did you buy the Viper for Pauley? Looks good, you have to be related to Whealy.
