Whats your favorite Food on Thanksgiving and your least Favorite. I like Turkey but stuffing i don't have very often, i like the crunchy part on the outside of the bird. The stuff that never makes it to the platter!!I don't get to eat Pumpkin Pie often either, with whipped cream. I hate turnips, can't stand the smell. Creamed onions look awful also!!

Like - pumpkin and apple pies, turkey, gravy, potatoes, turnip, fresh baked rolls

Dislike - cranberry sauce (funny, I like the cranberry juice though)

Pretty easy to please!!

We are having my favorite,,,from Granny's ole recipe' list, baked stuffed possum. Smashed potatoes, corn, asparagus, lots of rolls, and my favorite gas material, deviled eggs. Are we cooking this feast? "NO"
We put on our old 'working in the garden rags' and journey down to the charity dining hall to eat with the homeless and displaced citizens. Twice a year, they get the best meals available and I don't want to miss out on the lavish setting. After stuffing my gut I can leave without doing any dishes, drive 20 minutes home, unbutton my jeans, and take a nap on the couch. You guys eat up on the pumpkin pie,,,,,,it gives me heartburn.

May all of you and your families have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day holiday, and pray for those who are less fortunate and hungry.

Favorite: Chicken & Andouille Gumbo ...
Least: Green Bean casserole ...

Actually, I should have added I'm cooking my dressings right now which is my 2nd favorite dish... Sweet potatos in oven... Karen's making her home made rolls (tied for 2nd for my favorite) and turkey is defrosted (baking tomorrow) and had the gumbo today...

Laddie & Karen's Thanksgiving sounds fantastic!!
I personally love "Sweet Potato Casserole" or basically anything with sweet taters' as long as they are not cooked with orange juice!!! Jay on other other hand loves oyster dressing which he hasn't had since we moved to FL because I won't make it!!
We're celebrating Thanksgiving with some Prowler friends in Daytona tomorrow afternoon so regardless of what we have I know it will be great!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Dark meat turkey covered with gravy.
Cooked cabbage.
Mashed 'taters.
Whole kernal corn.
Sweetened ice tea.
I'm not a bread or dessert kinda guy. Not a health nut, just have never liked them much.

I agree with AC - the best is deviled eggs (Dianne makes great ones).

Why is it the best things are fattening, give you you heartburn or give you gas!

The leftovers are now ALL GONE except one piece of pie. I can't believe we had so little left over to start with.

Randy - you also mentioned having cooked cabbage? If I ate cooked cabbage and deviled eggs at the same meal,,,,,I'd have to sleep outside!
