I watched part of the game. They actually looked good. They played inspired. Corey Dillon has been whining a lot this year and now Rudy Johnson is carrying the ball and he is a horse. The defense looked great. The Bengals recovered a fumble and the refs said the guy was down. Replay shows he was no where near down but it was not reviewable. About two plays later, KC punted and the ball hit the end line and they did not call it a touchback. That is the type of thing that always kills the Bengals. They overcame those obstacles today. It was not luck that won the game. They are hitting on all cylinders. They will probably lose to San Diego, but they are definitely improving. There is some spirit on the team and for the team, again. It has been a LOOOOOOOOONG dry spell for us.

Ed -

Yeah, the Bengals are looking goood!
The Bengals and their fans deserve some good times.

The Panthers keep on eaking out wins. I'm scared to start crowing for fear I'll curse them!

Hey Ghost what do you mean didn't play? Beat San Diego
37-8. Course it was San Diego but still a win. Just wait 'til KC plays in Denver 12-7, should be a good game.

Yup, he is back alright Got his training as a Cardinal. That says most of it right there. Bears 16 Denver 10

Quote by Jim Rome (syndicated sports talk radio host on the Bronco's QB with an efficiency rating only a little higher than his jersey number):

"Has there ever been a player other than Ryan Leaf, who has stole more dollars from NFL owners? NO"

Sorry to inform the Denver faithful that Jake isn't the answer.

What! No Bengal comments this week. lol. I think they are for real, for real. They are playing really well and are coming back from set backs that use to kill them. They pulled it out today. They are actually selling play off tickets. That was a phrase not heard around here for 12 years or so.
Big game in Baltimore next week.

Randy, I still am waiting for the other shoe to drop. They should have folded their tent when the Steelers scored with just over a minute left but the rose to the occasion. I cannot believe they have turned it around in this short of a time period.
BUT, they do seem to be for real.

Ed:

I love it that the Bengals have turned it around.

One of the most vivid Super Bowl memories I have is seeing the Bengals Ed Kumrie's grotesquely broken leg flopping in the air. Things like that usually don't bother me, but for some reason that one got me.

Krumrie was one tough dude. You are correct, that was sickening. The Bengals lost two Super Bowls, one of them was one of the all time great Super Bowls when Montana beat them in the waning secods with a pass to the back of the end zone.

Edward - I wouldn't buy your playoff tickets just yet,,,,,,,,,remember on Nov. 2nd, your team lost to the lowly, pathetic Az. Cardinals (biggest losers in NFL history).

Glad to see they are doing better!

Trust me, I still wouldn't go to the game if the tickets were free. It will take me a while to jump on that band wagon.

Ed:

I received my Playoff Ticket Invoice on Nov. 21st for the Panthers. The accompanying letter stated that due to their record at that time the Panthers were instructed by the NFL to begin preparations for hosting NFC playoff game(s).

All Permanent Seat Licenseholders (PSL) are invoiced for 2 playoff tickets for each seat. The stadium in Charlotte was privately financed mostly through the sale of PSLs. The only public money was for roads and other infrastructure such as water/sewer lines. Fantastic for the taxpayers. PSLs prices range from $12,000 each to $2,500 each. Unique deal. It is still hard for me to believe that there are enough people in the Carolinas who are so desperate (or dumb like me)to have NFL football that they will shuck out big bucks just for the rights to buy season/playoff tickets.
