Jan - that might have been a rerun of the 2000 HotRod Power Tour? If so, I think our speed on I-17 north to Flagstaff was more like 115 mph. It was a memorable day, as Lord's cherished cruiser hat blew out of his cat and the Alley Cat took a one in a million shot of hitting it at over 100 mph. BINGO!! The Alley Cat hit, cut, and split that nasty hat of Lord's with one try!!! I was given an award trophy at the Prescott car show later that day for my accomplishment of destroying that old rag that Lord wore. Many cat owners have thanked me over the years for my just decision to destroy his "hat".

Gone, but not forgotten.

Little does anyone know, that hat is probably the most valuable Prowler collectable ever. Think about it. The hat exists today. Ask Larry if he'll explain it's exclusivity.

Bob L. and Dan Pena - Thanks for researching the POA archives and refreshing our memories as to the episode of the Lord Hat. It was truly a great story with lots of history, and I often wonder about Lord's decision to hold up the national Hot Rod Power Tour 2000 to retrieve that hat along Interstate 17 in Arizona

To explain Dan's picture of Larry's odometer:
Larry Lord is known as "King of the Miles" when it comes to owning and driving a Prowler. Wore out one Prowler and is now driving his second cat.

MADMAX - the Krispy Kremes wouldn't have been run over if you would learn to drive with them inside of your car,,,instead of leaving them on the top of your cat! You did prove one point though,,,,you can't go sideways around a corner with a box of Krispy Kremes balanced on the top of a Prowler

Ed - Bob Longstreth crushed a 'cube' of Diet Pepsi of mine during the CrazyHorse Tour 2001. He was using it for a wheel chuck behind his trailer, forgot, and backed over it. He did repay me for the cube I might add.

Sorry for being so quiet this week guys but my Mom has had some health problems that I've had to devote a lot of time to. She is doing better but still needs a lot of my time.

I'll try to add to this story when I get more time.
