Longtime dealer and importer, Kjell Qvale, had helped revive the Mangusta name with an exotically styled, $78,900 front-engine, rear-drive 2+2 sports car powered by a 4.6-liter Ford V-8. Alot of folks will recognize the typical Ford interior minimally changed to look slightly Italian. Its three-position "Rototop" roof system allows it to be configured as a coupe, a targa, or a convertible. This message has been edited by YellowFever on 02-12-2006 at 07:53 AM |

quote: There is alot more Ford to it then just the engine. Think Ford Mustang with a different body and seats. Look at the dash and see if you don't see what I am talking about. |

Ky-K - thanks for the info,,good to know. The seats in the YUGO were cardboard. When people complained of the lack of comfort,,,,,the salesman said: Won't matter,,,you will not own this car for long, lol. |

Sold mine-- (Divorse-Wife isn't getting it!)Nice car, gets as many looks and questions as a Prowler. Ford Cobra engine, quick. Only a 284 made so there can't be lots of new ones around--Maybe 6-8? Real nice Italian leather interior. You can pick up a real low mileage one around $36-45000. Only problem is don't crash it. Assembly Plant is closed only a few parts available. ------------------ |
