Wow! A SVT Ford dealer has accepted my deposit on one three months ago with delivery expected in June or so. I realize the B-J bid was a charity thing but this certainly won't hurt the value of the car. I'm opting for the convertible if I can get it. A rediculous price for one doesn't necessarily equate to yours being worth more. The first Ford GT went for something like $500K to a retired MS exec. When the public could start buying them prices were inflated to about $250K. They are now down to sticker ($140K) at alot of places. Ford is also hurting and closing plants and laying off tons of folks. If enough demand, I'm sure they will build as many 500's as possible.
