Got the car back and try another day??????. Only be out $4,ooo. Does this make sense.AC help

When I was selling cars back in the early 70's,,,,,,we had a red one of these on the lot. Had $2400 in it,,,couldn't sell at $2500,,,,lowered to $2000,,,no takers. Three years later somebody bought it for $1,200.
