Sno - it wasn't on our car lot,,,,was on the truck lot, which was only one mile from a lake,,to test drive. Truck lot and car lot were about five miles apart. I could have sold it, if nearby, lol.

Norm, You don't need mud flaps in Las Cruces, do you? Do they have mud there? It takes dirt and water both together to make mud. New Mexico has neither does it? LOL

No mud here. I was thinking more about stone chips on that great paint job. AC said the paint job was the best he has seen.

Norm - out $4K to Barrett/Jackson and out $4K to Az state sales tax. That PT owner owns a construction business,,,,,has to be a licensed car dealer and placing the car for re-sale,,,,to avoid paying the state sales tax. Paying $8K to get your own car back Anything is possible........... Did you notice last night,,,,,Craig Jackson sold his own personal 2003 Viper with 4900 miles on it? Went for $63,000 Doubt he paid any fees,,lol.

AC- Yeah, I saw Jackson sell his silver Viper with the black bra. I thought there were some hot customs last night. Really liked the candy red '65 Chevelle and the red '57 Chevy Bel Aire retro rod.

I wish I would have been there for that Harley. It would be on the way to my garage right now. I can't believe that it only brought $26k. #44 of 50 with only 47 miles.

Maybe someone here can answer this question, who was the guy in the front row all week bidding like a crazy man ( bald and wearing a white t-shirt )?

Larry has nailed picture #2 down,,,,,it is a Messerschmidt! Congrats Larry #1 picture - not a Mercury Capri. This one is going to be tough. Clue: this builder also built a comparable pick-up model

Al - not exactly sure of which guy you were talking about? If it was the guy who bought the GM bus and the Pontiac concept car,,,,his name is Don [or Ron] Pratt of Phoenix - Pratt Construction Co. Mr. Pratt spent $7 million plus at the auction,,,,,,,needed to spend some money to avoid paying higher taxes, lol. Both of those vehicles are now stored in his giant, block long storage facility in Chandler, Az. - Business called Collectable Motorcars. This building is three blocks from where I work, and yesterday, the bus was 'driven' from Scottsdale to Chandler [30 miles] with full police escort, film crew vans, and Mr. Pratt flying above in his helicopter. I don't know who was driving the bus,,,but driving a $4.4 million vehicle must have been a rush.

He was bidding on the GM bus, but they made an announcement at the end of the Saturday show, and had another segment on the Sunday show, explaining that there was some confusion about who had won the GM bus. At first they said it sold for 4.1 mil, I think to the guy in the white tee... but in fact it sold for 4 mil even, to the owner of the Pontiac concept car. I don't think the white tee guy was the guy from Chandler, but maybe AC knows...
Still, it was something to see that guy looking very relaxed, drinking with his pals, and bidding up thru 4 mil... good lord!
