All around it seems like retro is in......from cars to fashion to.....you name it!Everyone seems to have nostalgia for the past and the way things used to be.
I would probably want to re-live the 80's....do the college days again, get into all the wild new wave music that came out, spending the summers travelling etc.
The good ol' days...

For me - the 70's. Same things as you Roman - college days in early part of the decade. Finally being out on my own. Getting married, then divorced. My wild single days in the mid 70's...... My first new house, a couple of Corvettes, road trips.

OR I could relive the 2000's - driving my Prowler, POA events, ..................

It would be allright if I could backup a day at a time.
When I got to the mid 70s, I would just stop there.
I use to get in a lot of trouble in the 70s.
Sure was fun.
O yea, I want to carry my Prowler back in time with me
also.

Marty,

What are you talkin' about. The best three years of your life was the fourth grade, and you probably can't remember one of your date's in the 70's

the sixties....Aurora AFX slot car tracks, building model cars(still have well over a thousand of them), Stingray bicycles, Hang Ten Skateboards, Beach Boys, my first car, my first GTO, girls were all young and hot, the Doors, the Beatles, long hair....runnin the streets all night in a fast car with a pretty girl by my side, listening to the Turtles "Happy Together"

Walter P. Chrysler High School, Class of 1969...

summer of 1968, first GTO, first true love, life was perfect

the girl dumped me for a dork in a Studebaker and the Goat was destroyed, torn in half...

Nope, don't want to go back to work, don't want to raise kids, don't want to have to worry about where the money will be coming from to pay the bills, don't want to worry about her getting pregnant, and on and on. I like it here and now and glad to be here to enjoy it.

Late 70's or early 80's for sure, or I think. I had so much fun around that time that I can probably only say all of the fun happened somewhere in that 10 year period.

mid 60's to the mid 70's for me,,,,,,,,,I missed out on the whole LSD experience, lol.

Life was easy street,,,,gas was a quarter a gallon, car insurance was $100 per year, new cars bought for low four digit $$$ numbers, and high horsepower pony cars were made to go street racing

WC - I hear you and second that!!! Also, I feel it wasn't fair to be born poor! Oh well,,,,maybe some good came out of that.

On a side note,,,,,,appox. 3 months until spring thaw,,,,get the boat ready!!!
If you ever do another calendar,,,reserve 1/2 month for a picture of your boat to remind you of that trade you made

the 60's were the best for me.....

There was so much fun between 6 and 16.....I loved being a kid, everything was centered around sports and Dad was more than happy to pay for it....
never wanted to get old....
I cut lawns and shoveled snow for spending money (5 burgers at MacDonalds was only $1 )

I spent the 70's wanting to be older, to buy more stuff, cars , beer, stereo, motorcycles, more beer.... in the 70's I found out I was going to have to work my bag off till I was 65...bummer ...

Got crazy glued to a house, wife and kids in the 80's....

spent the last 25 years wishing I was a kid again....

then I bought the Prowler, and from time to time, feel like I'm just a kid in the 60's with a new bike...going fast and lovin every minute of it...

Its all good ....

The early 50's I was still wondering what shoes were.
The late 50's, found out there was more to a chicken than the legs - finally got breast meat at the dinner table.
The 60's figuring out which breast was the smallest
The 70's was Air Force ...uuugh I forget man...snornin' tootin' smokin'...but I never inhaled. Some Goats - Opel GT's,girls, parking, drinking ...not in that order
The 80's GI Bill-college more cars,more girls,more drinking,1st wife...thinking with wrong head - divorced.
The 90's have 3 wonderful kids, 2nd wife...didn't keep a close eye on things - divorced.
- fun career and fun friends
The 00's still above ground.....

I guess I'd go back to the 60's. They tell me I had a great time, but I don't remember too much!
I used to tell my daughter not to drink and drive. She'd say "Dad, you grew up in the 60s, everybody knows what YOU guys did, so you don't need to lecture me now..."
- Dated wonderful girls - Betty Divilbiss, Jill Moroski, Anna Holderby, Louise Damaco, Debbie Pritchard, and Gloria (didn't get her last name, but I'm surprised I remembered all the other names...) Went in the USAF in 1968 and bought a 68 Charger with a 383. In the USAF I was still rocking and rolling and no one knew what to do with me; hated getting hair cuts every week and so they stuck me in a Minuteman nuclear missile silo in Knob Noster, Missouri. (I know I did other stuff in the 60s, like go to to Frank Zappa, and Donovan concerts, I just don't remember that much.)
- Late 60s - Met a pretty girl and got married then realized we made a terrible mistake and got divorced.
- Early 70s - shipped overseas and I was never heard from again until 2003.

I just hope the lives of the people I mentioned turned out really great in spite of coming in contact with me when I was really irresponsible...
