I just installed my new ipod adapter that I got from ebay. I put this one in my 02 Ram to test out to see if I should get one for the Kat.

This thing is awsome! It plugs into the back of the head unit in an open socket. The other end into the ipod and that's it! It also has rca jacks for aux inputs. The steering wheel controls work the volume, mode(AM,FM,CD, Next track, Last Track. The ipod pauses when you turn off the stereo or change from cd to radio. It also keeps the ipod charged.

The head unit shows the ipod as disc 6 track #1..2..3..4..etc

Best $116 I have spent yet this winter.

This one is made by SPEC-USA

Great addition, especially since you said you were disconnecting your CD changer anyway.

This particular one works with the rounded edge head units. The prowler has the square head unit. There is another brand that does the same ting for the square unit. I will be getting one as soon as i have a dash to put it in; oops, too much information, lol. But it blows away any of the RF adapters and the price is half of what it was a year ago.

I heard Hyundia has become the first auto maker to have an ipod dock built in to their vehicle.

Times they are a changin!

Mercedes has an ipod connection built in on 2005 and newwer models. You can use all your steering wheel/radio controls and the display shows up on the info display on the dash.

It's still cool that Hyundia and others are doing it also.

Yeah, tell me about it!!!

I bought the Black 60G, iPOD Video and I love it!!!

Straight thumbs up on this product, plus I also have the car adapter to go in the cat when spring rolls around the corner.
