Being a vet...like many of you...I can see why so many have gotten upset. They say that money is the root of all evil...I can surely see that in your post. All I can say is God forgive you for your inhumane thoughts. For the rest of my fellow vets that fought and continue to fight for this great country... Thank You!!! Brian

I know he was not aiming his comments at all the people that are in our armed forces keeping us safe, just one scumbag that he had a personal problem with.
Jesse, see what I miss by standing in line at the Post Office!?! I echo Jesse's sentiments ... and many, no ALL OF YOU are saying Rick is against America or against the Armed Service members ... NO ... he would like for one of his personal "enemies" (and everyone has at least one person in their lives that they secretly wish ill upon, heck I may be that one person for some of you long time POA'ers, right Blackcat <wink>?) to find himself in harm's way. That's all, and he expressed it here, on the "People's Forum" ... and opened himself up for the criticisms to begin ... Say Rick, before you get more stones thrown at you ... I need to come by with this Disney NASCAR jacket to see if you would like it before Jes helps me with an EBay sale.

Ray, what got me fired up against this guy was the fact that he creates an extremely negative post that can be interpreted more than one way and then says, oh by the way, no one else should post a negative response. Don't do as I do, do as I say.

Wow, stealing from him and then saying he is a thief. Classy guy. BTW, nice punctuation and capitalization. I think we can see your intellectual level. Enough said about the body bag stuff. Very offensive to many. I have a brother that served three tours in Iraq and Afg. He was shot once in close combat. I'm glad no one ever wished he came home is a bag. Well, I’ve said a thing or two I probably never should have, too. I’m a VET and evil elf is a VET. Different wars. I feel authorized to state my opinion of them, cuz I spent 20 years in...wife is still IN and has 28+ years to her credit. I don’t understand those who criticize the military--never having spent 1 active day in Uniform...But, BTAIM, we’re all responsible for what we say & do. I am a l-o-n-g way from perfect and never in any position to judge others. I can only hope to be forgiven--for my many mistakes! No sense worrying about anyone else's ....

Wow... To wish death on an individual for a few thousand dollars, and then at that an individual willing to give his life for your country. This is just sick. If I were you I'd go have my head examined. Man, I'd hate to see what you'd do if you were taken for more than that. If you stole my customers from me, I'd probably do the exact same thing to you because in my opinion you deserved it.

Sam ... get off the soap box already before it collapses ... jeez ... he is pissed at some guy that happens to be enlisting ... for what reasons YOU nor I know, maybe he is a psycho and wanting to go shoot people, who knows ... but give it a rest already in making the leap that Rick is "against" soldiers rather than simply very outspoken on wishing ill to one individual ...

Ray inasmuch as I admire anyone that backs a friend, you can't expect something of this nature to go unscathed. Nothing good will ever come of this topic and I find it tragic that the POA was chosen as it's showcase. When I was young and did something stupid there were consequences. Dad would look at me and say "was it worth it?" If I replied with a cockandbull explanation he'd reply "don't ever defend stupidity son" (I miss you Dad) What was the point of this topic? It has only caused pain and outrage and division. Not what this site is deserving of.....forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us I look forward to this topic falling off the page.

Why don't you go and help defend our freedom ... maybe a little chicken sh!t ...I think a lot of chicken. As an emigrant to the USA I would like to say "Thank You " to all who have taken care of me and my family while I have the peace of mind... Don't worry you wont be forgotten

Sam, Good thing you are done, cause the fewer people that "twist" what Rick is saying, the better! I do not believe that the person in question was ever a "friend", but rather "a boss" ... I also don't recall Rick saying anything against the US Armed Services or our brave soldiers fighting for our freedom either ... yet many, no most of you have made the lead to this level from Rick's proclamation that he wishes harm to come to a man (former boss) who has made it easier (until it changed from going over seas to just going to boot camp) for him to fall into harm's way ... perhaps "body bag" was what set many off, or the fact that some may have sons, daughters, family involved in the War on Terror and pray each night for their safe return ... we all do. Yes, Rick is a friend, no I do not owe him money ... but maybe it's time everyone look back at his "changed" post and lighten up and move on ... put things into the 'correct' perspective please. And remember, this Friday is the 13th ... lot's can happen that day!

WHEREVER HE GOES HE DESERVES WHATEVER THE MAN UPSTAIRS GIVES HIM, HE RUINED MANY PEOPLES LIVES AND NOT TO MENTION FAMILIES. THAT'S IT. CHIME IN PLEASE?

Debated whether I was going to comment on this or not. Whether or not you agree with the war or not, the men and women who are there deserve our support. They are doing their job....whether they believe we should be there or not. My son is one of those........I pray not just for my son, but all of the troops. But regardless of all of that.....anyone who would hate so much to wish someone dead is only lowering themselves to the level of the person they hate......and then they are no better than that person.

I don't think people have a vendetta or want to go out of there way to settle some kind of score with him. In fact, I'll bet Rick will even admit it....he does say some stupid sh*t sometimes.

Maybe the next you want to get loaded and run your BIG mouth off, you should go to the VFW and try telling them your bring em back home in a bag story there. See how well some of the veterans there would have put up with your CRAP. OH YA OH YA and then tell them that if they don't like your story, and if they can't say anything nice, that they can't say anything at all or hurt you. and yeesss your still A----- Toys This message has been edited by toys on 01-11-2006 at 11:11 PM

Hey Toys ... sounds like your BIG mouth tends to run off long after it should cease too, no? Got something to say because you two can't play nice, take it to PM level ... please save the rest of us from your BS, or maybe YOU were just out drinking too? And again, Rick could easily have said his FORMER BOSS was going to be a cop on the south side in some major city ... in either case, the point he was trying to make (as with signing up for the military, or becoming a cop in a bad district) was that he would be in far greater ease of finding harm done to him ,,, follow? Clear? Nothing against VET's OR the fine soldiers defending our country ... or police officers in my example. Rick ... next time post on the Humane Society Board after a heavy night of drinking ... fingers are sore from defending you on this one!
