Back in July of last year, Kraut posted a link for this video that was the most profound piece I had ever seen. I sent the link everywhere. Two months later, the link was shut down. As many of you can remember, I tried desparately to find it. No luck. I refused to give up.

I found it !

When you try to describe this (beforehand) to someone, you'll ruin the effect it has with too much information. It should speak for itself. I urge every GI reading this/seeing this to pass it on. Profound, is an understatement !

Like it or not We all know someone who came back from 'Nam with a lot of emotional baggage. The friends & family that surround these Veterans could never figure them out, so they just accepted the "new" ideosyncrocies"
and left it at that. The authors of this piece have nailed that baggage with Kyle's father & and the family's attitude towards him.

What I read into this was that there is finally, something in common between this father & son. It shouldn't be that way (the horrors of combat) in a civilized society, but in this case it (sadly) is. They should have many things in common, the face of battlefield combat should never be one of them.

At least, that's what I got out of it, and true to form, I am probably wrong.

A remarkably beautiful, poigniant, profound piece that should never fade away....................

Great Ad...Love it...when I got off the plane in Frisco I told the cabbie to take me to the closest car lot that sold Corvettes! This was March 1, 1967. I drove off in a 1959 Black, 4-spd conv w/silver coves and Red Leather interior!

It was an awesome ride--and taking this ad somewhat in reverse, when I got home & my dad saw it, he wanted to ride in it. After he rode in it, he wanted to drive it! It was the only car I ever owned that he got to drive before he died on June 28, 1967.

Glad I was able to do that one thing for him!

I still cannot get it to work. It says it is downloading and then it says it is finished but nothing. Maybe I have the wrong kind of player installed on my computer.

Very Cool Ad!
Took me back a few years... Dad gave me a 73 LTD conv., but since he is no longer here, the memory is of that moment, is like somebody handing me the keys to a Lamborgini. Thanx Ed.

Yes, it is recordable. Where as the link provided last July could not be catpured, this one can. You'll find it in your temporary internet files.
