This is truly a sad story.

I'm getting tired of all the P/C BS we have to deal with in this country just to keep from offending some people.

Just wait I'm sure God will be taken off our money soon too.

Claim: A display at the National World War II Memorial omits key words from a speech by President Roosevelt.

Status: False.

My office is on the corner of 12th & Pennsylvania in Washington. I remember last year when all the WWII vets came to town to attend the opening of the WWII memorial.

They looked really old, really tired, many in wheel chairs and most needed help walking as they shuffled past my office to the memorial on the national mall. As I watched those once fierce warriors, I thought that for most of them it was their last campaign. Many wore hats signifying the military units they fought with in the war. It was gratifying that nearly all of them were escorted by their children.

The old veterans made me feel very proud and I still believe they really were the "greatest generation."

Hear! Hear! I have coffee every morning with a group of these vets. All of them are now in their 80's and 90's. European Theater and South Pacific Theater. I have heard some wonderful stories of their adventures. I have so much respect for what these men did for their country. Several of them have been to the Memorial. May God bless each and every one of them.
