i was up at my new property for a few days, and went to COOPERS BBQ in Llano (which some of you that were on the "TX STAMPEDE" went there), a #1 kickass joint! On the way back i stopped to look at the nest which is about 8 ft wide, i only had a digital camera, i hope you can download and blow up with clarity, i can., anyhow, waited around about 20 min, while talking with other spectators, and no one for 5 hrs, had seen the mom leave the nest, every once in a while while she was turning the eggs, you could see her head popup a little, then all of a sudden the male bald eagle soars in and lands on the nest, one situated, the female, gets up and soars overhead of us all, what a sight. while i fly my hang glider with buzzards/turkey vultures, hawks , swifts, pelicans, i would love to fly with an eagle!

What a great shot! We have tons of them here down around the Missouri River. I've been down there watching them a lot! I've never seen one catch a fish...keep hoping to.

Why mess with turkeys when you can soar with eagles.

Pretty cool, Rich. I was hunting once in Sam Houston Nat'l. Forest and had a golden eagle in the tree above me. That was pretty awesome hearing the screach when I spooked him, (ok, so he spooked me with the screach) and when it flew to the next treetop, the wingspan was impressive to say the least. Would love seeing a bald eagle in the wild.

We saw a few of them in Alaska but I think that is the only time I have seen one flying. There are several nests near Cape Kennedy or Canaveral or whatever they are currently calling it.
