I've listened to him for years, first in the D C area and then in NY. His humor has worn thin for me and I haven't listened for quite a while..He was quite avant garde in the beginning. If you ever watched any of his his pay per view events, my opinion is that they were bombs because of the lack of censorship. His regular shows pushes the limit and that's what makes him interesting to see what he can get away with. Without restraint,I think he may bomb.

I used to like Stern many many years ago, but he has become simply a self promoter that and not very entertaining in my opinion. This message has been edited by Bob Miller on 12-16-2005 at 10:30 PM

I catch his 'show' on E! every once in awhile to see which porn actress or celeb he is trying to seduce or get to disrobe ... but to actually PAY to listen to him ... not a chance and DON'T feel he is worth the $20M+ that Sirius is paying to boost their sales ... yuck!

Yesterday was his last day on terrestrial radio and I cant wait till the 9th and he finally gets to Sirius, which I have had for about a year.Love the E! show, my TiVo taped a really funny one on thursday.....and I have been a listener since about 4th grade. And I must say for all the crazy sh!t you guys say and some of the stuff you email me I would think you would love Stern! I really hope that his FM stations lose a ton of $$$$ from ad revenue once he is gone....then they will realize they should not have been a bunch of bicthes and bow down and bend over to the FCC. I think part of the FCCs job is to make sure that public broadcast are in the best interest of the public....if the most listened to radio show in the history of the universe isn't what the public wants, then what the hell is. Ray-they are paying him $500 million for 5 years... This message has been edited by RED5 on 12-17-2005 at 07:00 AM

When I want to hear something dirty, filthy, trashy, and sexually explicit when I'm driving, I call my wife.

I used to watch the E shows on tv, they were pretty funny, as far as his radio shows over the last so many yrs, the censorship practically killed his show, the best thing for him was to leave, The govt has gone too far in censorship, and i value his convictions, whether you like his material or not. I did listen to his last show aired on friday, the crowd went nuts! I wish him luck in his new uncharted territory on S.Sat. but i am not buying it at this point! This message has been edited by RADCAT RICH on 12-17-2005 at 09:26 AM
