Progressive Insurance Chairman Gives $8.5 Million To ACLU Gift helps ACLU in their War on Christmas In one of his recent columns, Chuck Colson relates the following story. In a Texas classroom, children were told to draw a tracing of their foot, and then put a message on the drawing. One little girl wrote "Jesus Loves Me" on hers. What happened next shows the abysmal state of religious tolerance in America. As Fox news anchor John Gibson relates in his new book, The War on Christmas, the child's teacher ripped the tracing off the board. "Don't you ever do this again," she said. The little girl burst into tears. When her outraged father called the school, nervous officials told the child to make another tracing. She did so—but this time, instead of scrawling "Jesus Loves Me," she drew a tiny cross that was so small it was almost invisible. Behind nearly every such incident you will find the ACLU. According to the New York Times, Peter Lewis, chairman of Progressive Insurance, believes in the mission and work of the ACLU so much that he gave them $8.5 million. Chairman Lewis' gift helps the ACLU promote their anti-Christmas agenda such as: • Removing nativity scenes from public property • Banning songs such as Silent Night from schools • Refusing to allow students to write about the Christian aspect of Christmas in school projects • Renaming Christmas break Winter break • Refusing to allow a city sponsored Christmas parade to be called a Christmas parade • Not allowing a Christmas tree in a public school • Renaming a Christmas tree displayed on public property a Holiday tree In addition to their war on Christmas, the ACLU uses gifts like that from Chairman Lewis to: • Sue states to force them to legalize homosexual marriage • Force libraries to remove porn filters from their computers • Sue the Boy Scouts to force them to accept homosexuals as scout leaders • Help legalize child pornography • Legalize live sex acts in bars in Oregon • Protect the North American Man Boy Love Association whose motto is "sex by eight or it is too late" • Censor student led prayer at graduation • Remove "under God" from the Pledge of Allegiance • Remove "In God We Trust" on our currency Recommended action: If you have a Progressive Insurance policy, cancel it. If you don't have a Progressive policy,

There was this fella a couple of thousand years ago, some of you may remember him. His name was Jesus. Now Jesus had a reputation for expressing ideas and opinions about things he believed in which were not popular with the folks in charge. I guess you could say he was not "politically correct" for his day and age. But he did not let that stop him. He had the courage to stand up for what he believed in. He was jeered at for it. People threw stones at him. He was put in jail and in the end he was even executed over it. If you are Christian, don't hesitate to wish everyone a Merry CHRISTmas. You might get jeered at. I doubt anyone will throw stones at you, but they might. I don't think you will go to jail over it, at least not in the United States , God bless 'em. And I am certain you will not get executed for believing in the real reason for CHRISTmas. Stand up for Jesus and rest assured he would have done the same for you.Hey ACLU, Merry CHRISTmas!!!

Often us Maritimers here in Nova Scotia are criticized for being behind the times....unwilling to accept change... we don't allow Sunday shopping... we can't buy alcohol 24 hours per day... Politeness is common place.... and in some cases, justice is a community activity and Law enforcement isn't required...Today we have had one Community declare the entire month of December as "Christmas Season" and another community has prohibited any references to past "Christmas" activities to be changed to "Holiday" activities..... I would like to wish all you folks an "Old time, behind the times, Christmas" I'll wish you Happy Holidays when you go on summer vacation...

This is another one of the Repugs "Talking Points" to fire up their supporters. Don't worry us Liberals are not trying to make you refrain from saying Merry Christmas. I say it and always will. Remember that old document called The Constitution? There is a very good reason our founding fathers wanted seperation of church and state. Unfortunately the lessons they learned have been forgotten. What the Lib's want is for the government (elected officials) to represent all the people and not FORCE their personal religious veiws on all of us. Otherwise lets just elect a POPE instead of a President. MERRY CHRISTMAS! Notice: The views expressed in the above statements are only for your intellectual consideration. Should you dis-agree, thats ok, I'm not going to force you to leave the country or take away your guns. Force you have an abortion, smoke pot or pay more taxes.

If you expect anyone to believe that a liberal doen`t want everyone to pay more taxes for more social programs for a bunch of bums, or research the gay gene or some other worthless program, or STFU about Christmas, Hanakkuh, or whatever you believe in that, by the way, the first ammendmend of the constitution is supposed to protect the people from (religious persecution), you gotta be crazy! As far as taxes, I always like this quote A liberal is someone who feels a great debt to his fellow man, which debt he proposes to pay off with your money. --G. Gordon Liddy

The libs must have their own version of the U.S. Constitution - contrary to popular opinion, the term “separation of church and state” is found nowhere in the United States Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, or any other founding document of this nation. Yet for decades, some organizations [ACLU] and individuals [libs] have spread the myth that the words “separation of church and state” are found in the U.S. Constitution. Because of this misinformation, the ACLU and its allies have used this phrase to persuade public officials to silence religious expression.
The beat goes on,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I think it is great that someone else (Thank you AC) knows that the Constitution says nothing in it about separation of church and state. I wish we could let someone who has a few extra million know that so they could take on the ACLU and close them down.
