Besides Lennon being shot and killed on Dec. 8th,,,,,something else happened on this date ten years ago that probably all of us [except Fred Hinkle] were glad to see happen. What was it???

Maybe this one was too tough, lol. Useless trivia:Dec. 5, 1995 - feds removed the 55 mph imposed highway speed limit Not that many of you followed it anyway

Geno - did you hold the train to 55mph,,,or were you in a hurry to get home? TUIB is a jack rabbit,,so the picture has a lot to do with the 55mph speed limit,,in his case, lol

Alley Cat, I think the Feds allowed the States to determine what remained at 55 or what could be changed. There was/is a nasty speed trap on 75 just south of Detroit proper where the limit was raised to 65 then dropped to 55 for about one quarter mile then raised again. Detroit pulled in millions on 'speeding tickets' through this 'zone'. They got me several times as well, but only wanted the $150.00 dollars, no points.
