I'd like to thank my hubby for the special birthday wishes....
http://www.prowleronline.com/ubb/Forum16/HTML/000066.html#bottom

but the best birthday present I received today was.....

I was out doing some shopping and called home to check in with Bob. I asked him if anyone had called to wish me Happy Birthday (I'd not heard from either son or my sister who said she was going to call). He said something like "what do you mean no one has called?" I couldn't figure out what he meant by that when all of a sudden, my younger son (the one in the military) said hello. I was stunned and slightly confused.....I asked a stupid question...."Are you home???" (duh). He showed up on our doorstep this morning. He'd not told anyone he was coming home. Best present I could have wished for.........hmmmm....now that I think about it.......I did wish for that!! :

He's been in the service 14 years now and recently returned stateside from a 6-month deployment. His birthday is in two days (Dec. 9). He and I have not been together for our birthdays in those 14 years......he was always gone somewhere. What a great day!!!

Happy Birthday to him, too!!

Great story. I bet you are one happy mom.

Is this the son you bought the car for? Has he seen it?

Happy Birthday.

Happy Birthday to you both CJ! I couldn't think of a better birthday gift.

Wow...14 years...definitely over the hump. Only 6 more years to retirement. How cool is that!

CJ,
I'm so glad your son is home and that you had a great birthday. However, you have now been selected to join a small group of people who have endured the worst torture on the board. Did you guess it? That's right, a belated official NiteMan birthday poem. Click your back button now before it's too late!

I knew you wouldn't! Oh well, here goes.

You managed to slip by me last year.
I just plain forgot the year before.
And I bet you were feeling quite certain,
That you'd gotten away once more.

Or maybe you were not even worried,
Feeling safe and secure in your home;
That you could escape the torture,
Of an official Niteman Birthday poem.

So even though this is a day late,
And you probably aleady sighed in relief;
In honor of your BIRTHDAY yesterday,
I just have to give you some grief.

Just Kidding!

You can now say you've survived this torture,
Like a few other members before.
So, I hope you had a great Birthday!
And I hope that you have many more!

Happy Birthday CJ the one and only!
From Bill & Lucy

Thank you for all the birthday wishes for both my son and me. It was a great birthday celebration and we sure are enjoying having him home. We're hoping he'll be able to stay through the holidays.

Howard, yes, this is the son we bought the car on behalf of. We did take it to him when he arrived home the first of Nov. I've been so busy here, I haven't spent much time on POA lately and haven't taken the time to post pictures. He says he is definitely a full-blooded MOPAR guy now. He loves the car!!

Niteman........I don't consider it torture......I consider it an honor........thanks for the poem.....it's great!! :
