car will be on display at the Detroit Auto Show....anxious to see it in person...it looks like it is loosely based on a 1971 model....I used to own the first HEMI Challenger ever made.....is there another in my future....if they make it, you betcha

Good looking car. Hope DC doesn't screw this one up too and make it a 4-door!

HEMI Challenger RT/SE... the guy I sold it to still owns it....it is in Pawley Island, SC.....it was beyond perfect when I sold it, and it is even better now...

I also owned the first 69 Dodge Daytona shipped in the USA, the only triple black T/A Challenger 4sp known to exist(had 3K miles) ....sold him both of those too.....also sold him a red/red/ 70 Challenger T/A, a lime 70 CUDA 440 SIX BBL and a Plum Crazy 70 Challenger RT convertible with a 440....sold him all six cars in 10 days.....the Daytona was advertised recently in Hemmings for $395K....

the Daytona after a mild resto....it had 6K miles on it...pictured here with black wheels for a foto...usually wore Rally Wheels..

red/red Challenger T/A 4spd....car was bought new by Sidney Bonnecarre, a drag racer from Houma La.

triple black 70 Challenger T/A 4spd....3K miles when I owned it...long interesting story came with the car...in short, it spent many years stored in the woods in a small shed and used to store drugs and money...it was also a "Mr Norm Grand Spaulding Dodge"...fully doccumented by Norm...of all the MOPARS I ever owned, more people still ask about this car than all the others put together....it was a beautiful car...in its early days the car was painted a gold metalflake and drag raced for money in Chicago....it won thousands of $$$ for the owner during it's reign on the street...

no pix of the other two cars.....they just passed thru my hands for a couple of days and were on their way to the new owner...

I THINK THE CHARGER LOOKS GREAT. I ALMOST BOUGHT THE DAYTONA IN ORANGE ON FRIDAY, BUT MY WIFE WANTED THE H3 HUMMER SO WE GOT THAT INSTEAD. I MAY WAIT FOR THE CHALLENGER IT'S A 2 DOOR MORE SPORTY, I HEARD THE PRICE WILL BE THE SAME AS THE CHARGER. JMO. RICK

The more I look at the pictures the more it looks like a customized 70's challenger. Front window pillars, roofline, body lines, door handles? Can it really be true?

MEMO

To: samthejeepman
From: Kevin
Date: November 21, 2005
Re: Garage Space

I received your memo regarding garage space for your new (and highly anticipated) Dodge Challenger. I have talked to my wife, and we are happy to park our minivan out on the street.

Hence we are pleased to offer a space in our garage for your Ford GT. And, because you are an esteemed POA member, I will even offer to come to NJ and personally drive the GT to my home to ensure safe delivery.

Your thanks is not necessary. It's the least I can do for a colleague.

Yours,

Kevin

wow--wow
i'm sitting here all misty eyed !!
here i was worried about leaving the "gt" out in the weather and here you are with such a wonderful offer.
i am speechless !!!!
how could i pass up such a great deal, especially the part that you would actually take the time, money and effort to drive it all the way back to your home state !!
i think we should have a poll on this site for the kindest member, you would have my vote..
i will keep this generous offer in my round metal file cabinet at the foot of my desk.
you made me smile tonight, its good to see some good humor on this site, especially with all the garbage thats going on with some of the other threads.
i wish you a great thanksgiving, and appreciate the miles of smiles i will get out of this everytime i think of it
