Hi all,

Does anyone know how to cancel a EBay bid? I know it has been done to things I have put up for auction, but now I want to cancel a bid. If you know please explain the steps to do it.

Thank you,

Troy

Open the item you are bidding on. In the large Bid informaion box toward the top of the screen you will see something on the right saying Reminder: You can click on the active links for either retract or cancel and it will take you to information that includes more links to make your retraction / cancelation.

I was told you could only cancel a bid if you made a mistake.Like put in wrong amount, like bidding 100.00 instead you bid 1000.00 and that can be corrected.

I think they give you 3 choices as far as reasons for cancelling. You cannot cancel during the last 24 hours, I am fairly sure. They don't want to make it too easy, for sure.
