Jimmy & I wrapped up another Vintage V8 Championship in the 78 Vette on Sat.

I took 1st place in the race on Saturday in the Vintage V8 class and that gives us enough points to secure the 2005 Track Championship. We do have one more race on Sat. Dec. 3rd. This makes two years in a row for ROUTAL Racing taking the Vintage V8 Championship.. Since Jimmy had driven all three races on Ocr. 15th (with a 1st place win), he decided I should drive all three races on Sat. (30 min. warm-up, 15 min Qualifying & 20 min Feature). It was another good day at the track...

Here's a few pics.

1) Our pit crew after I won the Feature race. Me, Michael (Jimmy's son), Jimmy, Kathy (Jimmy's wifew) & Fritz Mueller (guy I bought the car from when it was in pieces).

2) Jimmy & Michael polishing the 78 Vette. Had to be only race car getting polished at the track... Jimmy said it would reduce wind resistance...

3) Me getting ready to go out for 30 min warmup session...

I echo Marty's assessment. You are sure enjoying your retirement. Sandy still wants to come down and use your road grader, backhoe and any other big machines you have around.
