There was a mandatory evacuation. He is currently staying with this mother in law. All he could take from his house were some important documents. Lets wish Barry and his family the best.

Off the 101 at Reyes Adobe Road. Just talked with them and all is O.K. at this time. If they had to leave they would just pack up the kids, dogs and GO. However I will relay your cell to them. She said the fires are south of the freeway, which is probably a good thing. Hopefully firefighters will be able to keep it from jumping the freeway. Most of the houses are on the other side of the freeway. We have had to evacuate 2X here in Ojai, and it is really horrible. I hope I never have to do that again... Once they call for a mandatory evacuation you dont get to take much with you. And they definitely dont let you go back in. So tell anyone to have a bag near the door or even in the car with important papers and any personal things that mean a lot to you. Also if they have a camera or video camera, take pictures of every room before leaving if they have time. pray for rain and no winds tonight!
