That's the other "big one" that's got my blood boiling. Both parties have less backbone than an ameba addressing this current and looming crisis...

The majority of these illegal aliens (YES ILLEGAL ALIENS) NOT migrants send the paychecks back home to Mexico. Oh, by the way..does anyone think these people will not be expecting Medicaid and Social Security?

George W. talked about addressing the issue during the 2000 primary and did NOTHING.

It looks like we'll be too busy (and broke) building levee's
in New Orleans for decades to come to even consider a protective wall to keep out the hordes of criminals.

Living in a county on the international border, I'm not overly surprised. We have increased criminal element because of this. Last year we had a local couple killed when a coyote trying to escape law enforcement with his human cargo caused a severe traffic accident (not the first!). The destruction to local ranches and property (cut fences, loose livestock) and the environment (enormous amounts of trash left behind) is phenomenal.

That said -- I really feel for those just trying to survive and provide for their families. There's no easy solution.

And AC is very correct --- the local media uses terms like "migrants", "undocumented residents", etc. I guess "illegal" is un-PC --- although correct!
