Cry Wolf (2005)

After a young woman is murdered, a group of high schoolers decide to play a little game with their classmates in this chilling tale. They use the Internet to concoct a serial killer called "The Wolf," going so far as to describe the maniac's next victims. But their lies start coming true, the body count rises, and the instigators themselves are preyed upon by a very real killer. Julian Morris, Lindy Booth, Jared Padalecki and Jon Bon Jovi star.
Starring: Julian Morris, Lindy Booth, More
Director: Jeff Wadlow

PG-13: For violence, terror, disturbing images, language, sexuality ... More
Genre: Horror/Thriller

evil elf & I both give it 2 thumbs UP, remembering it is just a horror-type flick...so don't expect too much, but, if you like horror flciks...Wrong Turn, Jeepers Creepers, etc. you won't be disappointed!

We've also seen: Just Like Heaven (good if you like Reese Witherspoon & Mark Ruffalo--we do). Corpse Bride was slow in the get-go, but entertaining enuf after the first 20-30 mins. It was short (1 hr 16mins) so ya don't hafta suffer thru it too l-o-n-g if ya' hate it! LOL Thazzat!

Mother's Day (1980)

Three female friends (Nancy Hendrickson, Deborah Luce and Tiana Pierce) head to the woods to remember their collegiate good times, all the while with no idea they're being hunted by a dysfunctional hillbilly family. Mother (Beatrice Pons) is teaching her backwoods boys (Holden McGuire and Michael McCleery) how to rape, torture and kill young women -- and her adept pupils are more than willing to practice their lessons.
Starring: Nancy Hendrickson, Deborah Luce, More
Director: Charles Kaufman

check it out TK--you might be surprised. It's a hoot. If you can't find it locally, I'll send you a copy. Got to burn a CD from my tape before it goes away anyway.Tried to get it on disc a while ago, but it wasn't available.

Keep an eye out for this IMAX release:

Harry Potter: The Goblet of Fire - Opens in IMAX November 18

It appears that there is a new trend occurring... of releasing some of the big $$ movies in IMAX format.

Jesse... check out the original as well... better than the new one, though I did enjoy the Sandler version too.... watched it this last weekend.

VCD - I hope it's truly in "IMAX" format. Was very disappointed recently to go to an imax in MILW to see Spidey2 only to discover once I paid that it was the "REGULAR" format showing on the dome screen.... it sucked ! Was very bad on the eyes/brain, everything was 'fisheye lens'
Turns out they are doing that to get people in... only it's the 'big' movies in regular format ....

Oh well!

I haven't seen a regular feature on IMAX yet. I'll check this one out and see how it goes... I believe it is converted to IMAX after filming is complete, so you are probably right, but I am curious to see how it turns out. Perhaps it will be better to sit in the back row.

I saw that as a kid in a drive-in. I think the two features playing were Phantasm and Manitou. I didn't sleep well for more than a week... I haven't seen Phantasm since, but I never forgot that silver ball.... lol.

How 'bout a Deranged / Motel Hell (Double Feature), CJ?

This double feature contains two cult classics from the slasher genre. In Deranged (1974), a Wisconsin man misses his domineering mother after she dies, so a year later, he digs up her body with the intent to "patch her up." In Motel Hell (1980), Farmer Vincent kidnaps travelers and buries them -- alive -- in his garden, fattens them up and harvests them to use in his famous fritters!
Starring: Roberts Blossom, Rory Calhoun, More
Director: Bob Clark, More

Restricted. Under 17 requires accompanying parent or adult guardian.
Genre: Horror
Format: Widescreen, More
Language: English
