1940s
Roxy Music`s vocalist Brian Ferry is born. 1945

1960s
Moving from Rock `n` Roll to Hard Rock, the Kinks unleash "You Really Got Me." Also, Roy Orbison has his last #1 of the `60s with the incredible "Oh, Pretty Woman." 1964

Rolling Stone guitarist Brian Jones is fined for marijuana possession. 1968

The Beatles` "Abbey Road" is released in the U.K. 1969

1970s
Free`s "Fire And Water" LP with their signature song "All Right Now" enters the charts. 1970

John Lennon releases "Walls And Bridges." It`s his last album of original material until "Double Fantasy" six years later. The album goes to #1. 1974

"The Rocky Horror Picture Show" opens. No **** Janet! Also, the Allman Brothers Band`s "Win, Lose Or Draw" enters the charts. 1975

A cover of the Bobby Fuller Four`s "I Fought The Law" is The Clash`s first U.S. single. 1979

1980s
The Go-Go`s "Beauty and the Beat" enters the charts. The album sells over two million copies. 1981

The Grateful Dead`s "Touch of Grey" peaks at #9 becoming the group`s biggest hit. Meanwhile, the Cars, running on fumes, release "Door To Door." 1987

"Talk Is Cheap," Keith Richards first solo album is released. 1988

1990s
Blur`s "The Great Escape" album with "Top Man" hits the stores. 1995

I have alot of old Beatles stuff.....he was seen smoking quite often....I think he sold his shoes for a pack of Marlboros
