I am in need of help resizing pictures....just the pixel size.

When I try to use paint to do it the picture stays the same size and I just get a big white area that fills up the rest of the space I wanted.....the picture does not enlarge.

DPena had posted a website that would do it for free but it doesnt work anymore.......and I am skeptical about downloading some program.

Thanks
Jesse

Go to Microsoft's PowerToys site and add the capability into your operating system. It's safe and easy. You'll love it once you do it. It's great for posting here, eBay, emailing photos to friends with slow connections....

Go to: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/powertoys/xppowertoys.mspx

You may want to check the dpi(dots per inch). The larger the picture the higher you want the dpi.

I can see how many pixels the picture is but I dont see anything about dots per inch or how to change it.

the pixels (or dots per inch) need to be set high on the original picture when taken on your camera. If you take a low resolution shot you will not be able to make a quality enlargement. But if you have a small memory card in your camera you will be limited to the number of pictures you can take at that resolution.

Hope that helps some.
