Kevin, Saw your letter to the editor in the last AutoWeek Magazine. I agree with your idea. Good letter.

Could you share the idea Burnzie suggested?

He was commenting on the pros and cons of the Ford GT vs. Dodge Viper. Surprising to me that the writer in the Mag was picking the GT as "Far superior" to the Viper. Magazine already gone, but the guy used some disparaging remarks of the Viper as opposed to the GT.

Here's what I originally wrote in response to the extremely glowing article in Auto Week regarding the Ford GT:"What? Did your classified ad staff put you up to that article? Yes, the Ford GT is a hot car, and yes, I want one in my garage. But you didn't mention the recalls or the fact that you can't touch one of these for less that $40,000 above sticker. I'll stick with my Dodge Viper, invest the $130,000 difference and continue to see unsold GT's throughout the back pages of your magazine." What they printed was altered slightly: "Yes, the Ford GT is a hot car, and I want one in my garage. But you didn't mention the recalls or the fact that you can't touch one of these without $40,000 above sticker. I'll stick with my Dodge Viper and invest the $130,000 difference." Truth is, I'd love to have a GT, and to be honest, my letter was only meant to suggest a more balanced approach to their review(s). Halicat, sorry if I unintentionally ticked you off..... Kevin

As a side note, I'm hoping my good friends at DC headquarters were so pleased with my letter that they'd ship me a new SRT-10. Kevin
