Coffeeman's relatives in La. [the looters],,,,,returned a tv set back to the store from where they stole it. Complained that it didn't work and wanted to exchange it. Store owner [now guarding his business] had to explain that the power is OFF,,,therefore the stolen tv will NOT work!! Just shows what inbreeding has created in Missouri also

The HHR is one of the poorest designs from an aesthetic proportion standpoint. I do like the retro grill; it reminds me of a 49 Chevy truck I once owned.

The windows are much too small and the length height ration is poor. I am surprised that they did not do a better job. I like the PT hands down; what a nicely designed car. JMHO

Larry,

Come on now!!!

I just left my local watering hole (yeah I know it's early still) and came outside and an HHR was parked next to my SSR.

I love the HHR even more now. I Might have to get one.

The two look great together and this is why..

Chevrolet released this sketch on its new HHR wagon, Chevy designers took the 1949 Suburban, and the SSR, and came up with this... Codename: HHR (Heritage High Roof).

Any wonder that GM has an HHR - sort of a copycat of PT???

In April of 2001 - General Motors Design hired Bryan Nesbitt, the 32 year old designer of the Chrysler PT Cruiser, away from its rival to be the Brand Character Chief Designer for Chevrolet.

As a Senior Product Designer for DaimlerChrysler, Bryan Nesbitt was the creative force behind the exterior design, interior body color 'theme', as well as the brand product name of the PT Cruiser.

My turbo PT certainly has more speed/peformance than the first PT I had. The first PTs lacked good acceleration, but once it got out of its own way....it zipped right on down the road. The Turbo was a huge improvement. I don't understand why people think it has to have a bigger engine. It's not a race car.. What about gas mileage and gas prices. If you really need more speed in the PT, there is a Stage I kit you can add that boosts the horsepower about 25-30 percent. Also provides more torque. With the Stage I kit, its faster than the stock Prowler.

Amen-CJ, the HHR to me 1st thoughts looks like a soccers moms car! My 05 PT-ragtop turbo blows, its a fun ride and cool looking. In Southern California theres lot of grid lock traffic, now folks tell me why I need a V8 or V6, I want gas saving!!!

Let's not forget the HHR gets 450 miles to a tank of gas. And has an optional 172 HP normally aspirated 4 cylinder engine.

I know the turbo pt has a little more than that, but we're compairing apples to apples.

In my opinion, the HHR looks more like a truck and the PT more like car. As for the performance our PT Turbo will give the Prowler a run for its money. You can also get both a stage 1 and stage 2 kit for the PT. As for quality I have had more than one DC service mahaer tell me based on the amount of cars coming in for repairs the PT is one of the most relaible cars Chrysler is producing.
