A good day for Rock singles. Guns `N` Roses hold the #1 spot with "Sweet Child O` Mine." The #2 position has Robert Palmer`s "Simply Irresistible" while Van Halen`s "When It`s Love" is #5. Also, AC/DC`s "Flick of the Switch" hits the charts. Meanwhile, Eric Clapton goes on the road yet again. This time around though, he has Dire Straits` frontman/guitarist Mark Knopfler with him. Green Day, U2 Linkin Park's Chester Bennington , Audioslave, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Kid Rock, Mötley Crüe, Dave Matthews Band and Nine Inch Nails (fronted by former New Orleans resident Trent Reznor) perform at ReAct Now: Music & Relief, for victims of Hurricane Katrina. T he massively destructive hurricane rolled through New Orleans. The program airs live on MTV, MTV2, VH1, VH1 Classic and CMT. Viewers call-in donations to the American Red Cross and other relief organizations. "To see a place you have spent a good portion of your life in destroyed is overwhelming," writes Reznor. 2005
