Yes, Football!!!! My wife's least favorite time of year!

I have been a Patriots fan for around 25+ years. It was a good game on the most part (for the first one of the year). Penalties hurt the Raiders. The Patriots have a tough schedule but each week they will make improvements and they are looking good right now, they are the team everyone is shooting to beat.

Love the strategy involved.

Sad but true. I basically have given up on football, getting way out there in commercialism to be just football anymore.

Right now I'm pulling for the A's with all their rookies to get into the playoffs over the $50 m plus team across the country. Going to the last series against the Angels. Now that should be fun.

Go A's

Don't be too quick with that prediction AC. KC is 0-4 so far this year.

I think you will see more than a "few" at every friggen stadium. Being a a$$ is not exclusive to some of the current Raider fans nowadays. It's wide spread on every team. With each one fighting for more publicity then the next.

I got rid of my tickets two years ago, quit going almost three, I think except for two of that year.

Major sports, as I remember it, is no longer fun. I like baseball still, and am going to two of remaining A's games to see if they can't pull it out and make it into the playoffs.

Basketball=sucks, glorified "in your face" players

Football =sucks, and that's every team. In five years you will see each team have 10 players "characters" (like T.O. for example)
Pro Football fans have nothing to be proud of in their team IMO. If it was me, I wouldn't broadcast that I was one. But I guess that's hypocritical of me. I am a Raider Fan in heart, but not very proud of it in general. Again the almighty dollar drives them.

College Football= a joke, major colleges anyway. Pure money talking.

Baseball=going down but fighting to right itself I feel.

I am not familiar with the others so I don't have a comment on them.

No, I won't be at the game to answer your question. And happy for it.

You asked.

I agree with most of what you say, including what people don't like about Nascar. But I still get that rush when I walk into Yankee Stadium, or like last week at the Jets opener, or when I walk into Madison Square Garden, or Daytona for sure. So when I lose that rush, I will probably give it up too. The modern day athletes are chipping away at that feeling though, and I do go to less games and races than I used to. Just not out of the blood yet.

Anyone able to remember way back to the day when the player scored a touchdown. Then set the ball on the ground and trotted back to the huddle to block for the extra point attempt? No show boating. Just grind it out and get it done. I still remember the pics of Y A Tittle after a game. Bruised, battered. Even when winning, the head hung low. No theatrics. No strutting around pointing to this person or another. Todays "athletes" can't hold a candle to the guys in the game 50 years ago. The "men" are gone now. Replaced with "trash". Gee. I feel better now!

Deon would steart dancing at the 40 yard line. I hated that , and I can only imagine what a QB would feel like with him strutting like that. Back in the day , he would have gotten taken care of.

Yip, been to Arrowhead many times!!! I'm originally from KCMO.

Worst stadium I've been in is Fedex Field where the Skins play. Gave up my season ticket this year.
