CJ,

Normally, I would have just emailed you to ask if there is any kind of deal on GEM cars but, given the current energy circumstances, I thought that this might interest to other POA members.

I would be interested in buying one if there is a reasonable deal available. In the past, I know that they were quite aggressive with the pricing.

Thanks,

The OLD MAN

Scot......sorry for the delay in response. I've been out of town and just returned home yesterday. I believe that the GEM car qualifies for the F&F program, but I will have Bob check on that and get back to you.

In most states, the GEM car can be plated but can only be driven on roads 35 mph or under.

They are great for driving in retirement villages, but with the 35 MPH street limit it hurts them in several areas of normal communities. I had one in my neighborhood and the lady had to take all the back roads to get around, sometimes having to go way out of her way to get somewhere.
Nice concept but it has its limitations.

Cool! I didn't even know these existed. I could drive along as my family takes their evening walk.
