We got a night race this week... Saturday night 7 pm eastern on TNT.
This 1/2 mile track always brings out the emotions.... a polite way of saying Road Rage !!....I used to hate the short track races.....but have learned to like them of late as i've come to enjoy watching grown men getting mad and bumping their wayt through traffic... God, i've wanted to do that soooooo many times on my daily commute...

If Harvick doesn't loose his mind .. he'll be up front along with Tony, Rusty, Newman and Kennseth...

but, what do I know.... AC is on the pole of predictions....

tell us wise one... whom do you favor ?

cocked , locked , and ready to rock !! ... lets go racing !

Jeffie only has a little more time before he'll be sitting on the sideline with Jr watching the finals. Hoping he gets with the program. Dale must be spinning.

Funny story about our local 1/4 mile dirt track: "Road Rage" after the races. I'm 6'4" and driving a 40something Anglia (stock). I'm behind a early 50something Buick. All driving a little too fast. Guy in front has to slam on his brakes. Anglia brakes not as good as Buick brakes. I hit his Buick. My front bumper slips under his rear bumper. Bumpers then were STEEL (Chrome plated). He jumps out of his cars and comes tearing back toward my car, ready to stomp my a$$. All 5'2" of him is standing there as my 6'4" body uncoils out of the Anglia. He looks up at me and says, with tears welling up in his eyes, "Why did you hit my car"? Seems he is no longed interested in kicking my rear. After Note: My buddies and I helped get the bumpers unlocked and everyone went on their way. No fights that night. (True Story)

The Pentagon announced today
the formation of a new 500-Man
elite fighting unit called the U. S.
REDNECK SPECIAL FORCES (USRSF).

These North Carolina, Kentucky,
West Virginia, Mississippi, Missouri,
Arkansas, Alabama, Georgia, Texas
and Tennessee boys will be dropped
into Iraq and will have been given
only the following facts about the
Terrorists:
1. The season opened today.
2. There is no limit.
3. They taste just like chicken, 4. They don't like beer, pickups,
country music or Jesus.
5. They are DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE
for the death of Dale Earnhardt.

This mess in Iraq should be over IN A WEEK

Who won? I left for the car show and missed it. #17 Ford of Kennseth was leading when I left.

At the car show today,,,,seen a new '05-'06 ZO 6 Vette with Michigan Manufactuer plates. Looks mean,,,,huge brakes, LS 7 motor,,,,guy said it runs in high 11's right out of the box

It was a good race ! These guys must have been exhausted after this one...Jarret put himself and Ryan Newman out on a revenge move that also put out Harvick.... and he was mad !!!!!!!

results:

1)Kennseth
2)Burton
3)Biffel
4)Rudd
5)Wallace

Gordon was 6th, Stewart 8th, little E 9th, Johnson 36th, Newman 39th

What goes bump in the night ?

the Bristol race of course...

Thanks Jim,,,,,,sounds like I missed a good finish. Got to see the replay of the Jarrett bump on Newman. Nothing better than P.O. racers after an accident.

Jr. POed a lot of the inter-circle in racing with his comment last week that if he (Jr.) didn't get in The Chase that he hoped that Jeffie didn't either. Jr. said he didn't want to put up with the comments that he was the only big name to not get in.

Supposedly there is a code among those in racing that you hold bad luck comments about other drivers to yourself. Think it all you want, but don't "Black Cat" a competitor in public. Wreck him, punch him, screw his sister, but don't Black Cat him. A lot of Gordon haters even are siding with Jeffie on this one.

If it wasn't for his daddy's name and business investments,,,,,,Jr. would be driving jalopies at the state fair demolition derby.

Randy - I'm shocked There are actually Jeff Gordon haters?

Hali-
Sr. would have crashed anyone in sight, and would have thought it, but wouldn't have said it in public. Code of Honor among "the boys".

AC-
Jr. also inherited Sr.'s fan base and a popular sponsor doesn't hurt. Most of Jr.'s fans liked the comment even though some call it chicken s***.
